Remarks

Amity has a beautiful campus which is why i opted to study here. The eligibility criteria was that i qualify in my CLAT and also i should have a minimum of 60% in my isc, which i did. The application forms are available online with a price of 1100 rupees. It is also followed by PI after which the seat is confirmed.

Course Curriculum Overview

I have taken up commerce in my high school, which is why i decided to pursue my majors in commerce. The ratio is about 1:17 and my teachers had a working experience of more than 10 years. The faculty comprised of assistant professors, including phd holders too. The class consisted of weekly tests with vivas and MCQ. We had assignments as well, which helped us in our externals as marks were added to it. The class consists of Smart class and all the teachings are taught there.

Course Fees: INR 305700 per year

Placement Experience

There are summer internships available for us, which starts from the 2nd year of college. Those who do well in the internships, they are granted jobs right after graduating. It also provides placements in the final year. The college has a dedicated placement cell with 100% placement rate. Some of the top recruiters in my time was PWC, Tech mahindra, HCL, Cognizant, HDFC, Bandhan bank, Citi bank and kotak mahindra. The average pay was 2.5 lakhs p.a and the highest being about 25 lakhs p.a depending upon the programme.I got placed as in HDFC with a starting salary of 20,000 monthly.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees are to paid at the beginning of every semester. There were no fees hike during my time. I spent a total of 3.5 lakhs for my bachelors degree, which is quite expensive when compared to a govt. college, but it was totally worth it, due to the infracture and placements that were provided to us.

Campus Life

The college campus is very beautiful. The whole campus is air conditioned and provides top facilities like good basketball courts, football field, lawn tennis courts and even a swimming pool. The college also organises a fest known as unifest. It is usually a three day fest, with college participants from all over India. There are cash prizes available as well.

One of the things i liked the most was the quality of lecture given by the professors
The campus is very spacious the college has every facility
A fully equipted studio and lab for Journalism students

Dislikes

Things i disliked was the most has to be the locality the college is really nice but the locality is a bit shady

I always wanted to take up Journalism as a career and the thing which caught my attention in this college is that they have a fully equipted studio room and other colleges may have one but the students even publish there own news report here it prepars us very well for the real world

Supportive Faculty - The professors are highly qualified, approachable and always willing to help students
Free wifi support - There are free wifi support for both student and faculty
Fee Structure - It is very affordable and low compared to other colleges in the region

Dislikes

Placement support is below average, and most studnets have to apply for off campus jobs independently, which is really pathetic in the era of ai where getting a job as a fresher is so difficult
There is no dedicated support or placment cell initiative to help studnets land meaningful summer internships or any kind of internships

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements starting from the 7th semester. For placement drives, we have to visit the main campus, Techno Main Salt Lake (TMSL). Since students from other Techno India campuses and branches also participate, the competition is extremely high. In the 2025–2026 academic year, fewer companies visited. Only two companies, Dronahost and WishCare, visited our specific campus directly. The remaining drives—mostly service-based companies like TCS and EY, along with a few startups—were conducted at the main campus. Furthermore the selection process of those startups is quite rigorous often consisting of upto 5 rounds of interview, two technical rounds with two technical interviews, and HR round My plans after getting the degree is either pursue an MBA or preparing for govt jobs

The everyday journey

Likes

I liked the campus . Their people and faculties are too great , they are also helpfull
The other thing i liked here is the play ground where students play with full of their energy and many game events are organised ocationally
The other thing i liked is the library where everyone use to study silently with poking others

Dislikes

Bad benches , like benches are too small to be fitted in our class I
In our department ac doesn’t work properly

Nothing specific just the campus attracted me Curriculum is preparing me for the real world approach and its doing good enough the academic pursuits is good Teachers should teach in a good way so that every student should understand Frequently the timing of exam is 3 hrs but sometimes it takes 1 hrs

Faculties are helpful and kind and the classroom environment is healthy
Classroom, labs and libraries have proper infrastructure
Certificates are provided for participating in conferences or extracurricular activities

Placement Experience:

Placement is provided in final year . Average package offered is 3 to 4 lpa . Paid internship is provided in 3rd year and the placement percentage is more or less ok. After complication i will either pursue Msc or look for a job.

Likes

The campus is big and full of greenery with the vibrant feel of nature.
The students of the same batch are friendly and helpful.
The teacher's are friendly and helpful. They do provide helpful recommendations for the betterment of your future.

Dislikes

The seniors are overly harsh when it comes to 1st year.
The infrastructure could be worked on. The college lacks renovation.
The hostel does require everyday cleaning and renovation as well as the campus.

Placement Experience:

I don't know much about this but I guess from the sixth semester the students are eligible for campus placements. This year a student from AEIE got a package of 11.2 lacs per annum and the average is around 4 lacs per annum.

Likes

The faculties are very good and very active. They are always ready to help
Campus is very beautiful and nice. Campus may be a little bit smaller but it is beautiful.
Environment is very good. And have a natural's beauty

Location is a thing which may difficult to find out.
Number of faculties are small quantity due to the college is newly established
Because of the college is new so therefore not huge like any NIT or IIT

After 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements. There many service based companies visited like TCS ,Cognizant, wipro, Infosys. Almost 60-70% student placed in on campus. Highest package offered by TCS 9-10lpa and Cognizant 6-7lpa wipro 6-7lpa infosys 10lpa etc. 60-70% student getting placement I will go for placement

Placement Experience:

The University Provides Placements options for the students from the 3rd Semester onwards. For the Department of Geography Companies like - GeoDesign and Research PVT. Limited, Wipro, Acadecraft Pvt limited, Cactus etc. are there as recruiters with an average package of 3 LPA. University takes a target to 100 % placement among then almost 60% are placed and rest of the students mainly go to the research field.

Placement Experience:

Since the syllabus is quite up to date, students learn a lot and are way ahead of their age group students. Most of the students qualify for placements with attractive packages. The university also encourages internships that carry credits in their academic report.

Amity University, Kolkata from a btech biotechnology

I didn't apply for any other colleges though I thought of Adamas and Heritage. But I got to know since the last few years only marketing placements are being provided by the other colleges which I wouldn't prefer in future being a btech biotechnology student. Amity has better opportunities and placements which I heard from my friends who were already studying.
