Prestigious and renowned It is a heritage college where renowned leaders and celebrities have studies.It has great cultural values .The teacher ahe very helpful .The campus is pleasant with full of trees.The library is great place to concentrate on your studies .Kimaya is great for chilling and cultural activities.College fest is really fun .

It's is autonomous and if you attend the lectures regularly it is not difficult to pass.The teachers are always ready to solve all the doubts.Practicals are quite strict and makes you challenge yourself.

No I didn't apply for any intership The college does provide intership opportunities to the students whose stipend is also okay .The internship provided are mostly learning based than stipend based.Once the intership is done the same company hires the student if they are good performers

Good placement opportunities are available.There are various companies coming into the campus.One needs to be worthy enough to get that.Computer science ,animation have greater placement opportunities.

There are various scholarships to apply for the toppers.There are scholarships for people having good performance in certain subjects as well.There is a huge appreciation for arts and learning.Sports scholarships are also available

Campus Life

The life at campus is fun.One can chill out in Kimaya and just look around how the college people are different from one another .There are various canteens to hang out.One can play basketball at the court or enjoy badminton .The playground is huge.It is hard to believe that Fergusson also has a mountain to trek on to add the thrill.

Admission

No the admission was done on the basis on 12th grade percentage.The cut off is generally high but if you have patience to wait you can get the admission after the third list also.There are a lot of admissions getting cancelled so there can always be a chance.

Placement Experience:

In my college students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester and every year many companies come for hiring. Recently companies like TCS Accenture Cognizant Hitachi JSW Group Philips Axis Bank and some startups also visited so we get both IT and core chances. As per the latest data the highest package was around 24 LPA and the average stays around 6 to 6.5 LPA for most students and the lowest offers start from 3.5 LPA so it depends a lot on the role and company. Many students get placed but it mostly depends on skills performance and branch so it is not guaranteed for everyone. I feel the college gives decent chances but we also have to do our own preparation because competition is high. If I dont get placement from campus then I will try off campus also because there are many openings outside specially in IT. Overall placements are good for this level college and since companies keep coming for drives students who prepare properly usually get at least one offer.

The curriculam is designed for all round development of the student and to make that person an expert in that field, these aspects influeneced me to choose it. Very well, with extra paper of real world application on each subject it ensures that we take something from the course and become industry ready The teachings methods and cirriculam are excellent I don't think any changes are required Exams are all year round, every month and are extremly difficult to deal with, as Xavier's bar is very high.

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. CIA like case studies, presentations, and assignments encourage hands on learning. I applied to only 2 colleges as my first preference was fergusson. So I only appied to fergusson and garware college. I got selected there too but as I got selected at fergusson while I was in dilemma whether to pay fees of garware or not , I decided to give fergusson a chance. So for admission process, they took an entrance exam for which we had to pay Rs. 800/- as processng fees of application and exam. So after giving exam the scorelist came and on the basis of that cutoff was decided for various categories. A campus life you must live once in your life - Fergusson College

I had heard a lot about Fergusson College in my school time, somewhere deep down I had always wished to come here and study also i did my bachelors from the same college so it was obvious for me to choose this place . Also FC has amazing faculty members which made me choose it. I gave the entrance test on an online platform for my masters course got second in the list and went straight for the admission process within a week after results were out. I had applied to Modern College as well and got my admission confirmed also but because i got into FC I did not do any further process for modern college. The admission process goes smooth , once the results are out we are called to the college for document verification and regitrations, then fee payment and college starts. The eligibility is that you dont hold any backlogs from your bachelors degree....Read More
