Remarks
IIM Ksp have CAP i.e. Common Admission Process which is a common process for new and baby IIMs. The process included WAT and Interview round. The Interview was grilling and revolved around academic background, Work experience and hobbies.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is really good, especially for Finance, some of the faculties are really good while others are equally disappointing. Well I personally expected a lot better. But there also are some of the excellent faculty which make sure that the students can get most out of the subject.
Internships Opportunities
SIP for the year was just fine, the top companies visiting included, ICICI Bank, Yes Bank and more. The internships were offered in various roles and the stipends were just fine looking into the covid scenario.
Placement Experience
The placements are pretty decent, looking into conditions, almost every college is facing the same issue as the companies have frozen hiring. The companies for summer placements were not that great but the scenario for final placement is way better. Overall, being in the top 60-75% of companies will get you a good offer in final placements. The placement percentage was 100%.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees structure is pretty the same as other IIMs, there are some merit and need-based scholarships as well, which is good from the point of view of students, but looking into the hostel issues, sometimes the fees structure seems unjustified.
Campus Life
The Academic block infrastructure is really good, Hostel block is well planned and stands to almost all the expectations except the accomodation part. The rooms are lesser against the strength of the students. Clubs and Committees are student-run which gives a sense of belonging and also keeps the feeling of healthy competition. Campus Life is enjoyable and happening, there is some or other sport or event always going on in the campus.
Hostel Facilities
Facilities provided in the room are good and as per the need. There is a seperate mess committee which takes care of the mess and does a great job in ensuring variety and availability. There is always enough food for everyone. Looking into the accomodation issues the rooms are less than the strength of students, and this makes the fees structure look unjustified.
Interview Experience
The Admission Process was CAP, which was a common process for new and baby IIMs, the process consisted of WAT and PI rounds. The PI session was grilling Questions came in a series, first came from an academic background, followed by work experience, then hobbies and some general awareness in the end.
