Remarks

Maitreyi College is one of the most beautiful college of the South Campus. There is a fabulous garden which gives a lovely view. The faculty is awesome and very cooperative. Especially the commerce department, it has many experienced teachers. Garden is cool teachers are cool. Now comes the canteen, Maitreyi's canteen is also good, food is good but comprises comparatively higher prices than others. Maitreyi's societies are well known to everyone. Overall I will rate 9 out of 10 for this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

Commerce faculty is very cooperative and there are many experienced teachers. So if you're upto maitreyi, your future is in right hands. But there's a problem in the course curriculum. You are not provided to choose between the options to select your subject given by the university. College chooses your subjects on its own.

Placement Experience

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester onwards. Many renowned companies visit Maitreyi for campus placement like Deloitte, Amazon, Tech Mahindra, Karvy and many more. The highest package offered ranges between 5-6 lakh per annum and the lowest ranges between 2-3 lakh per annum. Students having 80% marks can easily get placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee for BCom here is between 5500 to 8500 maximum, which I think is very much affordable. Plus the college provides freeships to the students are not financially strong and are good in academics. And if i talk about campus placements then Maitreyi is one of the topmost colleges in the south campus.

Campus Life

Maitreyi's campus is very nice especially its garden, its beautiful. There are many renowned societies like zeal the western dance society, riyaaz thr singing society, galore the fashion society, and a lot more. Talking about fests, Maitreyi organizes fest every year in Feb.-March. There's a huge libraby and the best part is due charges. Maitreyi charges just 1 rupee for 2 days after the due date of book issued.

The course curriculam is well-structured and covers all the core subject relevant to the field . It help in building strong theroritcial knowledge but lacks enough real-world case studies and industry exposure . Exam are conducted regularly and are of moderate difficulty . When students enter 3rd year of their college , they are eligible to sit for placements but should have minimum 8 CGPA .A lot of companiess visit campus , details of companies are on the website of college.The highest placement till now is 20 Lakhs per Annum and average goes around 6-7 Lakhs per Annum. A decent percentage of students get placed. Honestly most students here are pursuing professional courses so they don't sit for placements instead continue with their courses .

I have applied to aryabhatta College before Maitreyi College for Women. So comparison to this college Maitreyi colleges stands out on various aspects:- Before 2024 the admission process is entirely dependent on merit list and the cutoffs.
