Remarks

Calcutta Institute of Technology is my choice because of college environment and teacher's behavior, and the College location is great. its beside the national highway and the railway station is just about 1-2 km.

Course Curriculum Overview

I study computer science and engineering. college faculty: student ratio is about 1:15. In my college, there is held a monthly test and at semester end a final exam, also there are internal exam, lab assignment, lab practice.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 50000 per year

Placement Experience

Students can apply for a placement at 7th semester in different IT companies. Many many companies visited our college like HCL, INFOSYS, TCS. In 202 about 75% students get placement. I planned to do my M.tech after completing my b.tech.

Fees and Financial Aid

This college with that good faculty is very low fees compared to other colleges around. Nowadays getting job is hard, but our college provides the best companies, in my knowledge our seniors get a placement at good companies.

Campus Life

There is a sports competition held every year and everyone participates in sports, by their interest Football, cricket, table tennis etc sports. The library is always stocked, we use library books for our department study.

Placement Experience:

At JGEC,campus placements begin mostly from the 6th/final year semester,when students become eligible .I recent years many well-known companies have visited such as Pinnacle Infotech,Synnova Gears & Transmissions Pvt.Ltd,,TCS,Jyesta corporate Entity and many more.The highest package was around 54 LPA form Google ,While the overall average is 10.2LPA.Many students also take internships, industrial training or prepare for higher studies(GATE) rather than accepting direct placement immediately.The exact percentage of student getting palcement is no where.But last year the percentage placed is 70%.

Placement opportunities are overall good, students can apply for the placement form 5th and 6th semester and can get PPOs's companies like Microsoft, google, amazon comes during the placement season and every year, so many students get placed even with a package greater than 2cr INR. Overall the placement percentage of the college is good for both the core and non-core courses almost near 90%. All the students in there 3rd year i.e. in their 5th or 6th semester are elegible for campus placements.
