Remarks

Easily availability of transport, and good infrastructure and it is one of the top rate girls colleges in South campus. Admission takes place in June after the deceleration of the class 12th result. The admission process is a Marit base for all the UG courses. Due to covid pandemic admissions, process date and month are now unpredictable. Just wait for DU official notice and keep checking the official website of admission. This college has beautiful camps and very good instructor and the quality of education is also very nice, the teacher is cooperative and helps you learn and grow. Many societies have unmatchable potential. All these are the main reason for opting for this college over other DU college. I preferred to go and have a look on maitreyi college official website only instead of any other websites.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I'm from a commerce background so I choose b.com prog because this cause is good for a commerce student it helps you gain knowledge about all relevant knowledge required in industries where you can do the job after graduation. The teachers of my department were very supportive and helping they help me to learn more and score more. We have to section in b.com prog, Sector A and section B in both the class we have 48 students. My income tax teacher uses an easy and understanding way of teaching for a better understanding of us. We have our semester exams in the month of nov-dec and the session ending exam in May. I think if you study even basic so u can pass these exams very easily. But if you want to get good marks then you have to focus and need to make daily notes to get good marks as we have many practical subjects like accounts, tax maths stats so having basic knowledge of the subject is must to get passing marks.

Internships Opportunities

3

Most of the internship was unpaid and mostly NGOs higher students for the post of HR and marketing. I also did 3 internships with NGOs as I'm interested in social work. Most of the internship is of 3 to 6 months which sometimes become difficult to do along with your studies and classes.

Placement Experience

1

I would say the campus placement of my college is not good this year only 5% of students got placed in it. Most of the company are providing unpaid internship and only hire 2 or 3 students. Which is a very upsetting number. The highest role offered to my department was of assistant audit Deloitte with a 3.5 per annum salary package and there took only 2 students. I'm planning to do masters right now

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is simple like all DU college you have to pay fees on yearly basis but in 1st year you have to pay exam fees at the exam time separately. There are 2 types of scholarships available in college one is for the economically weaker section and one is for good Scholars.

Campus Life

4

We have our annual cultural Fest named 'Rhapsody'. This was the most awaited time of the whole year students wait for fest very much it is held in February, it is a 2 days event in which society of almost every college of Delhi take part and there is a star evening on the last day of fest in which a singer performing live. In the library, almost every coursebook is available grate novels and traditional books are also available. There ate many societies, like commerce society, students Union, and cultural dance and singing society, western dance and singing society, NSS, NCC many more Instagram page for every society is available on Instagram.

Other Applied Colleges

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculam is well-structured and covers all the core subject relevant to the field . It help in building strong theroritcial knowledge but lacks enough real-world case studies and industry exposure . Exam are conducted regularly and are of moderate difficulty . Adding more project-based or skill oriented components would make the course more practical and beneficial for placements or higher studies .

Placement Experience:

When students enter 3rd year of their college , they are eligible to sit for placements but should have minimum 8 CGPA .A lot of companiess visit campus , details of companies are on the website of college. The highest placement till now is 20 Lakhs per Annum and average goes around 6-7 Lakhs per Annum. A decent percentage of students get placed. Honestly most students here are pursuing professional courses so they don't sit for placements instead continue with their courses .
