Remarks
GECT is one of the best engineering colleges in Kerala. The Chemical Engineering Department here is well known for its great infrastructure and faculty. The college staffs and professors are very helpful and caring. The campus is really good. Just walking through the campus can make anyone feel nostalgic.
Course Curriculum Overview
The faculty : student ratio of each department of the college is pretty fair. The professors are experts in their fields as most of them are PhD holders. The exams are strictly conducted as scheduled by the KTU.
Placement Experience
The campus interviews are very productive for the students. TCS, Infosys and CTS are the main recruiters. Other recruiters include Wipro, Accenture, Reliance, etc. The salary package usually ranges from 3 to 15 lakhs per annum.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are fairly low. It ranges between 11k to 15k. This is applicable for the general category only. For students with various reservations, like SC, ST, EWS, etc, the fees are reduced. The students can apply for various scholarships like National Merit cum means scholarship, Central Sector Scholarship and many others. The staff tutors inform the students about such scholarships and help them in the application process.
Campus Life
The campus life is very enjoyable. There are clubs for almost every extracurricular activity. Joining such clubs help students their skills, along with enjoying their time. The annual fest "Dyuthi" is the main highlight of the campus life. It is conducted in the month of February and is an exciting and colorful event.
