KJ is one of the best B school

KJ SIMSR is a top tier 2 college of MBA located in the financial capital so it has a great location advantage. It had a great alumni network and a very good overall crowd. Its fees is also less than its competitors Bschools. Top companies such as JP morgan, Morgan stanley, Marsh Insurance, Accenture, Infosys etc.

I was interested in finance so I took this course. For every subject we have a seperate faculty. All are mostly PhD holders from top tier colleges. Teaching is also good. We have to give presentations as well depending upon the subject. Exams were postponed this year due to covid scenario otherwise it was held timely.

Yes, I did opt for internship as it is compulsory in the course. Various companies including startups come for summer internship. Roles offered are Equity research, Financial planning, Underwriter, Credit manager, Business development executive, Forex trading etc

Students become eligible for placements after the trimester 3. Companies start coming for placement in mid of trimester 3 and 4. Many students also receive Pre placement offer from the companies where they did their summer internship. Placement assistance is provided. Name of few companies- JP morgan, Morgan Stanley, Citi, Infosys, Accenture, Marsh, DE shaw offering as high as 27 lakhs package. Almost 98% students were placed last year.

Melange is the annual fest of KJ SIMSR. It has a great library since its a university, you can find books on a variety of subjects. It has a great campus comprising of well equiped gym, a basketball court, a football court, a lawn tennis court, a cricket stadium. There are various clubs and committees run by students like Finstreet, HR club, marketing club, Ankur Eli and Enactus are sort of social group focused on empowering the society.

The fee of the college is 1493000 which has hiked almost by 100000 compared to last year. There is no scholarship as such. Most of the banks provide loan at an affordable rate. I am in first year so I am yet to appear for final placements.

Hostel is good or call it above average. Its a three seater room. Almirah, table and chair are available for everyone. Breakfast, lunch, evening snack and dinner are provided at a cost of 2,10,000 Rs.

The break out of weightage for the selection process was- 35% test score, 17% personal interview, 25% for group discussion, 5% for work ex, rest for past academic scores. The GD had case study based on different situations generally we come across in a corporate job. The PI is generally knowing about you. Most important question is Tell me about yourself. No hardcore questions were asked related to my engineering.
