Remarks

It is the best university in our state. It is a government university. My cousin's had also completed there graduation from this university. It's fee structure is comparatively low as compared to other universities.

Course Curriculum Overview

It is my dream to become a software engineer. That's why I chose this course.In future there will be many vacancies for software engineeres.As due to lockdown everyone is doing work from home online.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 73200 per year

Internships Opportunities

No I haven't opted for any internship. There are very much and different internship opportunities available in this college.

Placement Experience

After 8 semesters the students become eligible for campus placements. The online software companies visits the campus and offer jobs for the students who have completed their graduation.

College Events

I haven't joined the campus yet. The university hadn't started the classes yet. But my cousin's told me that the campus is very beautiful and clean.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is very fine and comparatively low as compared to other universities. There is also a scholarship program for students who are in EWS category.

Hostel Facilities

I haven't joined the hostel yet. The university hadn't started the classes yet. But my cousin's told me that the hostels are very beautiful and clean. And the food server there is of good quality.

Admission

No I hadn't faced any group discussion,interview or written test for the addmission. This is because the government had decided to admit students on the basis of their marks in 12th class.

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.
