Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum was well planned the part which helps more is the clinical postings a student can learn most when posted into clinical settings as there's a need to update the curriculum time to time as there are many changes occurred in the medical field and nurses needs to bs up to date to the new Knowledges

Internships Opportunities

5

We went fir our internships in IGMC shimla and there's no provision of stipend for nursing students as we have to work so hard There's no such works offered but we're considered as a full staff there and we can assist like a fully trained nurse in the hospitals

Placement Experience

3

After the last semester the students are eligible for placements and there's Artemis ventures the only company visited for placement and offered 2.94lakh per annum And if someone doesn't go for placements it mihht get into teaching or can prepare for competitive exams like AIIMS NORCET, state commission, RRB or can go foreign countries

Fees and Financial Aid

So according to the university criteria if a person appeared in the entrance exam and qualified to get admission to the college the person will be eligible for State Quota in which the yearly: Tution fee-70,200? Hostel charges-40,800? Transport charges-12,000? Security fee -3000?(one time payment and refunded after graduation) Total fee-1,23,000?/yr(1,20,000 from 2nd year) And as if someone wants to join directly they have to pay a lot more amout at least 2,64,000 approximately

Campus Life

4

There wer no such clubs are made in the college but there's ither recreational activities like functions, poster making drawing rangoli ,debate etf are conducted which helps the students to sgow their capabilities and also provide prizes to them as well

Hostel Facilities

3

There are 2,3 ,4 and 5seated rooms as well according to the needs they are filled Fees is total 40,800 for all per annum Meal quality is okay okay There's a rule that everyone had to take a hostel no matter of they live nearby the college. The hostel is compulsory no pgs are allowed

Admission

I applied for IGMC and SLBSGH Nerchowk but I couldn't make it there depending upon the marks I got in the entrance test .. I choose this college because it's the secind vest college in Shimla after IGMC For this college you can apply directly or can got into this by entrance test and university norms

Faculty

4

If a student is hard working enough it can clear the exams .. over all in a year there are three exams in college and others are outside the college 1st , 2nd terminals , pre university exams are conducted with in the college. Final theory exams are conducted outside the college Practical examinations internal and external both are conducted outside the college.

Night Life

3

There's nothing like a night kife in the hostel you're supposed to study from 9-11pm which are the study hours of hostel .. you get outings on 1st and 3rd Sundays and a night out on 2nd Saturday and in tha you've to mention where and to whom you're visiting and call is made for parents by warden

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course, bsc nursing is very common these days because of the job opportunities and money. This is the same reason for me to take this course and also I like biology subject so I thought it will be easier for me to study nursing. But actually it's very different. We need to work really hard in this field. It's very hard to study. We need to focus more on studying other than anything. I just got into the college. It's been only 2 months so we are only having weakly tests now. And the tests are ok. Most of the students get passed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Nursing is all about skills, and the more practice you do, the better...i spent most of my time in hospital with patients for at least 9 months ever year....the duty used to be of 6 hours and the rest 2 hours we used to have a class till 4 pm Ut was a bit hectic but it really helped me in clearing all my concepts and improving my skills in handling a patient also the internship program is like cherry on top so good it covers everything you learn in 4 years and makes you ready for the outer world....I would say in terms of improvement, they need to reschedule their classes and clinicals timing because it gets draining and we don't get much time to study, so we usually just study because we used to be so exhausted.

Placements are good every student gets placement with the best perks and benefits. The average package is 2-3 lakh and the highest can be any number depending on the skills you have and the communication skills. I will prefer to do a master's in the same field from the foreign institutes due to top my interest in this field.
