I have listened too much about that college like tehre placements and every thing like study pattern and knowledgeable teachers we have in that college and this college is very much affordable because this is government registered college

Fees and Financial Aid

The name of our college is shri lal bahdur Shastri medical college and Hospital. There is two courses available here that is MBBS or Bsc.nursing. I'm pursuing bsc nursing the fee structure for yearly is 1.50 lakh And there is so much of infrastructure available in our college is a life gym, canteen, and Hospital facility, and various placements availbale for abroad are given here.

Campus Life

The campus environment is amazing in my college because in that college various events take place various superstars come here. Because of there popularity. Clean environment is there in it. Various events take place here

Admission

Firstly ,i have given government exam for nursing and i have to choose between four colleges but in comparison to there fees structure there placements and there study pattern and there history about students marks i have chooses this one

Faculty

The teachers of our college is highly qulified and those teachers help us in every course very politely. The exam system is about semester wise there is 4 year of nursing and in which there comes 8 semesters and marking scheme for exam are very good

Night Life

There is huge campus in our college and very much attractive there is minor restrictions are there in it. For the safety of students its in night you and go where ever you want but with the permission.

The hospital duties where we do more work and enjoyment
Govt colleges are best to study more and in depth also
Infrastructure is also too good ..nice environment and moreover teaching staffs too..

Dislikes

There are less holidays ofcourse in medical fields
Outing at night is shorter which could be atleast extended for at least campus walks

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course provides u with in depth knowledge of how to treat patients..and how to mainly care .... The course iss best for those who want actually to cure the patient and to know how the disease spreads and here in India specially we need more medicall staff to cure the patient rate

My nursing journey in Igmc shimla

Likes

I likes that i got to learn the practical aspects pretty well.
It has made my practical hand very good.
Got to face real life problems that we studied in textbooks.

Dislikes

It gives very little emphasis on theoretical knowledge.
It is very difficult to manage as both hospital duty and thorey classes are in the same day and with very little time difference
No facility of transport. Faces lots of issue as a day border for obs and gynae posting and knh hospital.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The timing that we get for wrotten exam is 3 hours and it is of 75 marks. We get 40 sheets and students mostly try to fill all tjose 40 sheets the difficulty level is moderate as direct questions are asked. No out of syllabus questions are asked.

Infrastructure of that college . Very neat and clean college
Abroad placement are also good in college.
Extra curricular activities also happens, which are amazing.

Dislikes

Lack of faculty in our department.Teachers are very lazy and idle
Syllabus of semester is not completed on time.
Hospital duty are not provided as much required.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Exams are not too much difficult if you have studied hard. Teaching method is by chack and blackboard only, not improvement in that at all.Exams are for 3 hours and according to me they are easy, not too much tough.

The nursing college

Likes

College provides great intership opportunity....i have learnt alot in my internship
Fee is really affordable keeping in mind the benefits we are provided with
Staff is really cooperative and understanding

Dislikes

campus Isn't that great....there is no facility of a playground or a spacious library
There is no males in here and It's all girls college
the management of the college Isn't that good

Course Curriculum Overview:

Nursing is all about skills, and the more practice you do, the better...i spent most of my time in hospital with patients for at least 9 months ever year....the duty used to be of 6 hours and the rest 2 hours we used to have a class till 4 pm Ut was a bit hectic but it really helped me in clearing all my concepts and improving my skills in handling a patient also the internship program is like cherry on top so good it covers everything you learn in 4 years and makes you ready for the outer world....I would say in terms of improvement, they need to reschedule their classes and clinicals timing because it gets draining and we don't get much time to study, so we usually just study because we used to be so exhausted.

I choose to do a BSc in nursing because it's my mother's dream. And she always loves to care for any random one in their hard times. Our college faculty teaching is very impressive as they all take full initiative and effort to make their student are best. If we talk about the Qualification of faculty is a BSc nursing teacher for BSc and gnm students and also an MSC teacher with a minimum of 3 yr experience. Every week there will be an oral or written test or blackboard presentations and the level of preterm and other terminal examination level is so high.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good every student gets placement with the best perks and benefits. The average package is 2-3 lakh and the highest can be any number depending on the skills you have and the communication skills. I will prefer to do a master's in the same field from the foreign institutes due to top my interest in this field.

BAMS worth it or not

I applied for other colleges too.This college was my 3rd option after NIA jaipur and ITRA jamnagar . I didn't get NIA and i didn't opted for another round to get ITRA as it doesn't provide hostel facilities. As for asmission it is done through your result in neet organised by NTA . Cutoff goes high likewhen i admitted it was around 570 out of 720 but nowadays it is 610/720....Read More
