Entrance Preview

I took the KEAM entrance examination and secured 18385 rank and got alloted in this college for mechanical engineering .This college is not that far from my place and my brother passedout from this college thats why i selected this college for my higher studies.

Internships Opportunities

Yes definitly they provide a great chance to do our internship in well reputed companies. Once we were send to CIFNET CCHIN and then to hindustan newspaper ltd.

Placement Experience

Placement here for mechanical engineering is not that good not even a single company come to recruit us. We usually go outside the college and take part in interviews. But for other branches pretty much good companies come.

College Events

Our college host technical fests each year and right now its the best technical fest so far going around the district ernakulam people from all over the colleges from kerala attend our technical fest called OBSQURA.

Exam Structure

Coming about the exam structure and all there are weekly test and at the end of the 2 modules they conduct series exams also question will be in 3 parts. Like that there is mainly 3 series exams for a semester and so many class texts to.

Faculty

Faculty of my colleges are average. There are not much phd holders but still M.tech holders are trying to deliver the best of them.

An honest college review

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester students become eligible for placements. The top recruiters in it sectors are Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, Tata Elxsi, Accenture, Oracle, Amazon, Wipro, UST GLOBAL, IBM. The top recruiters in other sectors are Mu Sigma, Ernst and young,, federal Bank, h and r block. Most of the placement are in it and related sectors. The average package is 4 to 6 lpa.The highest package is 34 lpa in Amazon. In 2024, 35 percent of students got placed. I will look to get campus placement in a reasonable package or I will try to get jobs by other means.

Placement Experience:

They provide placement packages from a minmum of 4lpa to 12 lpa.. But most of the students got 4 lpa packages, it is very difficult to crack higger packages, but most of the cs students got placement andd students of other departments palcement is not good.

My College days

Remarks:

I loved my department. But some of the management decisions made bad impacts on students and they hate the college. Faculties were good. As I already said 4 to 5 professors were so good in teaching and rest of them makes the learning experience a nightmare.

This college was not my first preferrence. I had first chosen college of engineering, palakkad at civil branch. But I had to change my plan as I had heard about the boom of Cybersecurity and my interest towards technology. And at that time, there were only 3 colleges where Cyber Security was offered, I was rejected from Muthoot Engineering College due to not reaching the engineering rank the had hoped for and I chose Ilahia College in a spur of a moment cause it was near to my home and had a great review.
