Remarks

The college staff can sometimes be pretty rude to students. Students standing for railway concession go through a tough time waiting in line for their turns. These are the only bad things.

Entrance Preview

No entrance exam. Podar was my first choice for Junior College as I'd got a pretty good percentage in my 10th board exams, and I wanted to settle only for a good college.I scored 89% in my 10th grade, and was luckily able to get into this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

B.com is like the smaller brother of CA. I m a CA student too, so I chose B.com more as a backup to Ca, and so that I have a graduation degree in hand. First year of B.com is the basics of accounting, and the theory regarding management etc. As the years advance, the portion also advances in difficulty, although it isnt too difficult to score good marks in bcom.

Internships Opportunities

I got no idea about this. Although companies do come in for offering articleship to CA students. The stipend offered depends from the firms coming in. Big firms offer good money, but smaller firms offer more exposure.

Placement Experience

Still a student. Don't have any idea about this yet. Our college does have a placement cell, which welcomes various companies for placements. Cos like zomato, axis bank, etc are pretty common here.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are offered to students who are economically backward, and even to students who have scored really great percentages.

Campus Life

Our college has almost 50-60 active forums which are managed by students only, such as hikers club, quizzers arena, rostrum spectrum, group discussion cell etc. So there's no dearth of extra curricular activities in the college.

Exam Structure

Exams consist of a unit test around August - September, and a half yearly semester exam in the month of October- November. It is conducted keeping in mind guidelines of Mu.

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is Good but not very good. 2nd semester students become eligible for campus placement. The Infosys company visited and low(20 to 50) no of offers made. Average package was 200000. 30 to 36 percentage of students getting placements. I try to search job after getting the degree.

Placement Experience:

The placement is the best in its segment. It ranges from 5-6 lakhs all the way upto 21-23 lakhs as per recent placement report of the college. The placement cell helps a lot in getting the placement for the students of the last sem that is 6th sem in most of the courses. All last year students can take part in placements program. Motilal Oswal, icici bank etc companies visited . Motilal Oswal offered 3,50,000 p.a. 30% students got placements in good companies.
