Great college with great exposure

College was great. Everything was great right from course curriculum, industry exposure, extra curricular activities and placement.

Yes, It was. Since the course curriculum was designed by professors and industry professionals with more than 15 years of experience, our courses were relevant to the industry. Basics of almost all the branches of Engineering were covered. From 2nd year onwards, more focus was given to core subjects with emphasis on practical aspects of the course in each semester. In addition, there were subjects like Organizational Behaviour that gave us a managerial approach.Regular industry visits were done and various courses were also conducted for us to ensure we're aware of latest industry trends.

I did not avail any internships but other did. Our college used to give 90% plus placement with an average package of 3.2 Lakhs Per Annum. The higher packages had gone to the level of 13.2 Lakhs and minimum was 2.8 Lakhs per Annum.

There were many. Spectrum, Technica, Robotics events, Sports Fest, Cultural events and other Inter-college events such as Zonal meet were major attractions. Our college was also invited to and sent teams to represent college at various annual festivals organized by colleges of national repute such as IIT KANPUR, IIT Delhi, IIT Roorkee etc.

I am not clearly aware about the current fee structure. However, in my days, it was 58958.00 per annum. This was all inclusive of Hostel fee, mess charges and examination fee. There were no additional fee or hidden charges. Yes, there were some refundable deposits(one time 10000.00 at the time of admission).

No loan availed for my education. However, at the time of counseling, various Banks had their Help desks available for facilitating home loan.

Campus life was great. There were various and regular events conducted. There were many. Yes, Hostels were compulsory. Hostel fee was 8000.00 per Annum. In 1st semester and 2nd semester, we got rooms on triple sharing basis. In 3rd and 4th Semester, we were given option of rooms on double sharing basis. From 5th semester onwards, we had our seperate rooms that were singly occupied. Rooms were furnished with Almirahs, tables, chairs and beds. Each hostel had facilities of Toilets and Bathrooms in Ratio of 1:25. Daily cleaning and regular maintenance was done.

Yes, that's the USP of this college. Had a great alumani network with most of them placed in reputed companies.

Bcz the B.Tech. ECE was a course that gave me option to make my career in multiple fields. I chose this institution because this was a sister concern of B.I.T. Mesra and was the best option I could find for myself at a rank of All India 10000. Admission was through AIEEE conducted by CBSE. Post the result declaration, a centralized counselling was organized in Dehradun by Uttarakhand Technical University. Basis our choices and ranks, allocation of branches and colleges was done.

Faculty were good. There was a 20-80 mix of fresh blood and high experienced people. Almost all of them were P.hd. with research papers published and were frequently involved in the government projects as well. CCNA and IBM DB2 Certifications were organized at the college itself.
