Remarks
No there is no entrance exam for the purpose of admission. But there is a scholarship exam. If any student performs well in that exam, he/she will get a concession in the fees accordingly. The application form can be availed from the college itself at the cost of 1000. Students get a personalized counselling session from the best faculties when he/she visit the college for the purpose of taking admission.
Course Curriculum Overview
I have chosen Bachelor's in Journalism and Mass Communication because I always wanted to be an anchor and do something in the field of communication. The experience in this course is great. There's is approx a faculty member per 15 students in the college as per my knowledge. All the faculty members are good and qualified. It's never difficult to pass if you're serious about your studies. Internal exams every 2,3 months. And external exams every 6 months (semester vise)
Internships Opportunities
Companies like News31 Uttarakhand etc offer an internship at a stipend of 8000 in the beginning. Then the amount got increased according to the work and exposure. There are also many other companies offering internships.
Placement Experience
From the 4 semester onwards students become eligible for placements. Companies like Dainik Jagran, India today, etc. hire from college. According to me, 70% of students are getting placed. I want to work as an anchor after getting the degree, even now I am working as an intern on a local digital news platform.
Fees and Financial Aid
As mentioned earlier there's a scholarship exam at the beginning itself. Your performance in that exam along with your 12th class percentage will decide the amount of concession or better say scholarship on your fees. You are totally free to pay your fees monthly, quarterly, semesterly or yearly. It's totally your choice.
Campus Life
There are a lot of fests in the college. Annual fests like Pirates of the Caribbean, monthly and quarterly events like dandiya night, live concerts, Halloween parties, fashion shows, etc. There's a library in the college filled with lots of expensive books. That we can read anytime sitting there can also take home for so. There are many clubs like eco-club, environment club, cultural club, sports club etc. There are basketball grounds, tennis courts, cricket courts, etc. Talking about amenities in the classroom there are smart classes, green board, LEDs, AC, Fans, Invertor, well ventilation, and elegant and comfortable furniture, separately in every class. There's a radio channel, YouTube channel, and monthly newspaper run by college students.
Interview Experience
There is nothing like a test for the process of admission to GMC. There's only a counselling session so as to clear students' doubts and give them a better understanding of the course and college. You just don't need to prepare anything. Just go for some current affairs and GK shots for the scholarship test.
