Remarks
Admission to this college is merit-based that it depends on your class 12th exam marks. I selected this college because its Zoology department is very famous, it's the biggest department in the college and the number of faculty here is very much. And the college is government-sponsored and hence the fees are very less only Rs. 2015 per year. I applied to the college by filling out an online form directly from the college's website, the location of the College is also very good, easily connected with the whole city. The time of the college is also very appropriate, 10 AM to 5 PM. Due to all these reasons, I chose this College. Now when it comes to the bad aspects, the campus is very small, and just like other government colleges, the classes are a little irregular and the canteen is very small and for some reason, no fests are organized by the college.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose Zoology because it's a core Biological sciences subject with so many options to choose from during my Master and it has been a subject of interest from starting. The faculty: student is 1:2, I'm not joking, 10 faculty is there and my class strength is currently 20. The faculty is quite educated and the teaching method varies with Every other professor. The last 2 years have been online and some play their part well here and some don't. CU exams are in general a little late compared to other universities and they are moderately tough.
Placement Experience
This is a bachelor of science degree and hence there are almost no job opportunities after just completing graduation without taking any other exams. There is no scope for campus placement, no company comes here. If you're doing B.Sc(H) everyone knows that there is no scope for the job just after completing Graduation. I like most of my classmates will go for post-graduation and hopefully for Ph.D. after that.
Fees and Financial Aid
As it is a government college, the fees are very low, only Rs.2015 for the whole year, examination fees are extra though but still, it is very less, and as far as I know there hasn't been any hike in the fees. And there sure is all kinds of scholarship for meritorious students and minority students. As far as I know, there isn't any scope of jobs directly from the college. But surely fees do not seem to be a problem, it's very nominal.
Campus Life
There's a student union, you can join them, they have a WhatsApp group and FB group, they generally provide the information and notices regarding exams, holidays, and different programs and how can you participate in them, etc. Rest there aren't many groups or clubs around in our college. Some small groups may be there for the college magazine and all but they too are too small.
