Entrance Preview
I got into it this college via Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination. Different courses have different cut off. For computer science it would be around 8000(rank).
Course Curriculum Overview
Since all the Engineering syllabus is currently based on one university it is same everywhere. It is good. As a computer science student I have learned many new things. If you want to go for higher studies or for job, this will help you. The topics covered in the syllabus will increase your knowledge in the current field.
Internships Opportunities
While I studied there was no internship as such. There was an incubator that was provided by the college and it is an advantage if you ask me.
Placement Experience
When it comes to placement the college is in forefront. There is a dedicated placement cell and the faculty who works in placement cell is awesome. As a result many good core companies come to the college. Usually all the eligible students will be placed before they leave the campus. Some students even get their dream companies.
College Events
When it comes to events also there are so many events that are being conducted there. Arts festival, technical fest, cultural fest etc Students who are good in almost everything will get chance to exhibit their talents. Apart from that all these fests will be conducted by students itself. This will help students to know how all these are conducted.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is actually decided by the government. It changes accordingly as they decide. There are three kinds of seats there which are merit, management and NRI. I studied in merit seat and during my time the fees was Rs. 20000. For management it was Rs. 65000 and for NRI seat it was one lakh. By now it would have increased.
Fees and Financial Aid
There was no specific loan facility that I have availed from the college and I don't think anything exists either. Scholarship was there, but I don't exactly know the name of the scholarship.
Campus Life
Campus life was pretty awesome. Students have complete freedom. If you don't find the classes interesting you can always hang around :P Lab facilities were good. Students who are interested in sports can always take part in competitions. All kind of students study there. There is no partiality in any regard.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network was not particularly strong when I joined the college. But currently it has become better and sometimes alumni meetups are arranged. They are pretty helpful also.
Exam Structure
The exam structure is like 2 times a year. There are two semesters in a year. So for both of these semesters exams will be there which will be conducted by the university. Apart from that there will be exams conducted by college which will be taken into account for internal marks.
