Remarks

It is best in theory and workshop and also there are 452 acres of beautiful green campus. But there is a problem in participating in international competition because of much interest in the main course syllabus. Admission for BTech is through her mains, LEET Diploma MSc and PhD through set and MTech through Gate.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course syllabus was too tough and many things are extra than the Gate exam or IES exam. The student ratio was too low for another engineering college. The faculty was highly qualified and also they want that they teach students and students will work on startup and they help us also.

Course Fees: INR 4 per year

Placement Experience

From the 6th semester, students are eligible for campus placement. The highest package was 17 lakhs but they Denied working on their own startup. The average was 5 lakhs. About 80-85 % placed in last year in spite of Covid.

Fees and Financial Aid

As compared to central government college I think fees were too low is 60,000 per year for B.tec student, and college have all facilities like gym swimming pool and very large college. They also provide TFW for the first-year student in which based on rank and the family income they have to pay only 15,000 per annum. Also, many students get a scholarship from Mahindra Swaraj and many MNCs.

Campus Life

The technical fest is the techiest silent march and the Cultural festival is Madhuram conducted in November. There are two things book bank from here student take 4 books per semester and submitted after the end of the semester and for SC/st student got 6 books. The same number of books from the library also. So in one semester, we got 8 books and for SC/st got 12 books, no need to buy books. Many clubs are like junkyard warriors (work on ATV), juggernaut (work on go-kart), green rangers (efficacy), endeavour (a robotic automobile and aeromodelling club), SLIET-CoE (for AI, ML and IoT), SSDC, mavericks and many more.

Hostel Facilities

First and second year in one room 3 students. In the third year, some students got a single room. 4th-year in one room 1 students. Wifi 1 GB per day in the first year. The hostel was always clean. The meal was of good quality if you have any problems then complaint to committee members.

Hostel Fee: INR 3500 per year

Likes

supportive campus environment with the comfortable in the classess
faculty most faculty members are very much supportive and they guide the students in the right way only
events are there in the campus provided by the campus.

Dislikes

limited practical exposure is provided by the campus and also there should be more hand on international events
infrastructure is not that good , as they were should on the online it is dii
Placement cell provides opportunities but the stronger industry connections.

placements at my college are very very good, as everybody gets the chance to sit for the placements at the same level. we get the placement oportunities at the 6th semster also. in my brancg it is very good

A Vibrant Campus with good learning and great opportunities

Likes

good infrastructure , large libraries and practical labs
helpful and large opportunities in campus

Dislikes

class size can be large , it helps every child to interact
academic work is quite high , the schedule may feel hectic especially during examination

The curriculum is relevant and covers core cse subjects like programing DSA and DBMS . it provides good fundamental for placements and further studies , more practical projects and industry based teaching would improve it .

75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

I like the most about the college the placement criteria and the way built your confidence
Also the hostel is very good and provide food 4 times
The campus explorer is also very nice according to me

Faculty is not soo well had a lit bit inconvenience
Hostel mess food is not good at some time
Placement is decent and average as like other collage

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

I like the machines that's why I choose the mechanical branch in engineering line. Noida , Gurgoan , Chandigarh , Bengluru and many other areas for improvements in the course curriculum and teaching methods.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

I also applied for tejpur university and also got admission but I didn't get this college because of there location and infrastructure. Yes I got a rejection from nit college because my rank was not upto for getting this college. As I scored a decent percentile in the jee mains exam.So, I've some chances to get in the lower nits and lower branch but like Nit Rourkela, Manipur etc.But I wants to pursue my career in the computer science so I've to choose that one college where I got CS branch. It is a CFTI having some decent placements score and one of the main point is the fee of the college is some low from the other colleges. Not at all I got the other colleges but not the CS branch that's why I didn't choose that colleges over this.
