Remarks
Every year they conduct department wise tech tests. This can really boost and sharpen your soft skills. Also you could participate in different tech-fest conducted by other colleges and attendance will be waved off for this. College is supportive in those cases. The Library we had had all the needed books. One flaw is they have very less book for the needs of all the students in the department.
Entrance Preview
I wrote Kerala Engineering Entrance Exam and secured 642nd rank. This college was one among the top 5 government colleges in kerala. Also this college was nearer to my place. I heard placement in this college was really good at that time for EC .I had a passion for EC. All factors turned good in my favor.
Course Curriculum Overview
Department of EC is really good here. Its little tough to get marks though. They have really good lab facilities.
Internships Opportunities
I really don't know about this though I think it could be there for the electrical department this is a question to the management what can I answer more.
Placement Experience
This college was one among the top 5 government colleges in kerala. Also this college was nearer to my place. I heard placement in this college was really good at that time for EC .I had a passion for EC. All factors turned good in my favor. There was minimum 10 companies came to my college for the campus placement like Infosys , wipro , TCS etc.
College Events
The main tech even is called shrishti this happens every year. Every year they conduct department wise tech tests. This can really boost and sharpen your soft skills. Also you could participate in different tech-fest conducted by other colleges and attendance will be waved off for this.
Fee Structure And Facilities
This is a government college, so the fees structure was really cheap. It was well with 25k per year. Combined with the given scholarships we used to pay relatively less fees. There are few management seats also which are really expensive. this will be in range of 5-10 lakhs is what I heard.
Fees and Financial Aid
KPSR scholarship and Minority scholarship are the usual scholarships we used to get. Both of the scholarships we will get through the 4 years, If we have any back papers we won't get minority from the next year onwards.
Campus Life
For our department girls to boys ratio was 5:2. same was the case with CS also. In EEE and Civil there used to be more girls. Mechanical has none as usual. Labs are really good and of standards specially Mech and EEE. They have quite a good ground,Cricket and football are the most played games .But volleyball and badminton has its place.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are really good especially men's hostel which is inside the campus. Seperate hostel for all the year students were there. HS1 HS2 , kennedy and MB hostels for boys. Playground was right next to the hostel. Food was good, none had any food poisoning reported though the 4 years.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network is very strong here.we have chapters of alumni in UAE and Kuwait and US.There is also one alumni network in Bangalore which is quite very active.
Exam Structure
Each semester we have a main exam and 2 internal exams we have to secure 40 marks for the main exam min to pass and also overall you have to have 75 marks to get through.Exam is well within the syllabus and is according to the MG university syllabus.
