IIM Kashipur - A great place to push your career

One of the top 20 MBA Schools in India. It has a nice campus and alumni base. The college has completed 10 years of existence. It obviously has an IIM brand as well which adds to the overall positives. The admission process mostly consists of taking the CAT exam. A score of above 95 percentile usually makes one eligible to sit for the interviews for CAP (the combined interview process for some new IIMs). The course exposes one to various aspects of management and the business world. The learning through case studies makes the student feel like we are dealing with real-life business problems and solving them or getting to know the best way to solve them. The faculty-student ratio is around 1:45. The faculties here are highly experienced and the curriculum follows a case-based pedagogy as followed by the most top b-schools across the globe. Even during the pandemic, the term eams were conducted on a timely basis, and the result declared well within the time.

Most of the major brands in the country provide internship opportunities to the students at IIM Kashipur. There are many roles offered in the domains of Finance, Analytics, Marketing, and sales. Other than the internship there are multiple live projects floated throughout the two years which are taken up by the students to gain real-life problem-solving experience.

For Summer internships - The students become eligible for the summer internship process as soon as they join the college. The process continues for the most part of the first year. For Final placements- The second-year mostly comprises the final placement process. Some students also get Pre-Placement Offers from the companies they intern at in the first year. The campus life is very happening in IIM Kashipur with events and activities throughout the two years. There are 38 clubs/Committees in the college which keeps the students engaged and the learning process is a perpetual one. The campus is completely student-run, so there is a lot of management lessons that get ingrained. Numerous Sports, Cultural events happen on campus.

The hostels are perfect with independent rooms. The food is managed by the student's mess and is completely decided by the students themselves. The quality of meals is pretty good and timely. The mess fees are paid on a term-by-term basis.

The college takes admissions through the CAT score. Based on CAT scores, the Combined interviews for the new IIMs are conducted based on which the final selection shortlists are generated. The CAP process has a WAP and a PI process. Various online forums can help one to prepare for these along with general knowledge.
