About St. Xavier's College Mumbai

St. Xavier's College helps students for their overall growth. College not only concentrates on studies but also encourage students to participate in different extracurricular activities and challenge their own skills. There are various communities in St Xavier's College which conducts various activities throughout the year. College also encourages students to understand different abled students and help them out. They assure that such students are also not less than others. Also St,l. Xavier's College encourages students to do social work. They encourage students to go and work in an NGO. The college also tries to help a student if they are going through some stress. Various workshops are carried out throughout the year related to music, science, art, culture, and many more. Maths has been one of my favourite subjects and I always y to my career in maths. In Xavier's College there are a total of 5 professor for maths who have done their MSc and have been working in this college for the past few years. Their teaching is very good. They use various methods for teachings like using PowerPoint presentation and blackboard to giving real-life example to make the concepts very clear for students. There are revision lectures conducted for students. Also before the exam there are doubt sessions in which a student can clear his/ her doubt. For a year college conduct 2 semester in which each semester has 3 exams for a course. There is two continuous internal assessment for twenty marks each and one last semester for sixty marks each. At the end of the semester, all the mks are added and the final score is revealed. The exams are a bit difficult to challenge students intellectual skills but students are trained for such exams that they don't find difficult or stressful.

After graduation students are eligible for campus hu placement. There are many companies that have visited the college for placement. The highest package offered was a BMM student got a package of 30 lakhs.

For each year the fees are 7000 rupees. Fees are supposed to be paid during admission. If any student is not able to pay the fees because of some financial problems he/she can show the parent salary receipt and can pay the fees later. Also, the college provides a scholarship for students in which students have to do the procedure required for the scholarship and after proper enquiry, if the information mentioned is correct they can get their fees back. Also, there is an application in St. Xavier's College which helps students get job and internship available. Also they give very good placements for the students. If a person cancels their admission he or she can get their money back in 15 days from the treasure office of the college.

The annual feat of St. Xavier's College is Malhar. This fest at s very special and very grand. Students can participate in this fest and even enjoy it. The fest takes place in August. There was s also one more fest called Aamod. This fest is the fest of the MVM committee. It takes place in March. Talking about books there is a total of two libraries in which there are various books and journals.

There is just a small interview round during the admission for selecting the subject a student want to continue with. It is completely based on the performance of the previous years. My experience was very good. There is no preparation needed.
