Trishali Yadav's Review On Indian Institute Of Management - [IIM], Kashipur

Good - The college is student-driven which makes students gain lots of learning of teamwork, relationship management while handling different clubs and committees for the college. Bad - The lacking point is the administration part of the college. Admission Process - The process is quite simplified after giving CAT exam according to the percentile one will be shortlisted for the next stage i.e., interview process CAP( Common Admission Process) for all new and baby IIM's and after that final merit list is published and accordingly students procure the seats of their dream IIM. Reason - This was the best college among the other college seats I have been offered to. I used InsideIIM blogs to look into the culture of this college and how feasible it would be for me.

I have done BBA so this is the next step available to me. Faculty: student ratio is quite good in the college we have faculties for every course and also sometimes do have guest faculties or have a guest session in the class for a particular subject or a topic. Many of the teachers are highly qualified and have great knowledge about lots of different aspects of the courses and but somehow not able to deliver that knowledge to students and here I would blame the online scenario. There are mid and end-term exams that happened after every 1.5 months in a trimester. The exams are quite decent.

There were quite good companies which came in the college like ICICI, Puma, Delloite, TATA Capital, RBI, etc. Roles offered to the people varies from Human Resource, General Management, Finance, Operations, Product Management

Fees structure looking at my personal viewpoint is very high as studying through this online mode has cut down lots of exposure for us which I am getting charged for. The institute provides scholarship on the basis of need and merit

I have not been to campus since the college had started but all those who are are enjoying every moment of it and it's quite an experience living on the campus. All the clubs and committees are run by the students only and ots of learning they provide.

As I'm not on campus for while one year I don't know the exact condition but things are quite well. 2 persons in a single room is the rule now. Mess food is very good on the campus as what I have heard from the students and they really try to provide good quality of food with serving variety in the menu.

The procedure followed by IIMs' now is the same which I have been gone through there was Writing Ability Test (WAT) followed by the interview. All of the past merits will be counted for the final list like percentage of 10, 12 and graduation and there is certain weightage given to them also for work ex there is extra weightage given. As I am fresher so mostly I prepared my academic subjects in which I was interested and some of the current affairs from the internet.
