Remarks

Good Aspects of College- * Good faculty for Political science *Near to North Campus *Classes in the evening shift(for some people, like me it can be a positive point because we can make better use of time) *Availability of Library (enough resources including IGNOU material, etc), two Computer labs, playground (which becomes so important for sports) *The major attention to this college is its AUDITORIUM(best in the University of Delhi). Negative Aspects- * University Election hampers initial months of the semester (although elections do take place in other colleges as well but craze in this college is so much high). *Indiscipline can be seen due to some students. Why did I choose this college? As my score was not enough to get admission in North Campus colleges like(Ramjas, Hindu, etc). Another reason was the evening shift( as I was also in the evening shift during my intermediate in K.V.) We made the colleges good or bad because during graduation we need to focus much on self study.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I had chosen this course because of my interest in this subject. Faculty members of B.A.(Hons.) Political science is very good. Along with the lecture, they also help with your doubts in your free time. Also, the teacher to student ratio is good like 50:1. Examination: The examination is held on a semester basis(2 times a year) Also, there is an internal assignment of 25 marks and an examination of 75 marks each. There is no difficulty in the exam because it provides a lot of choices (you have to do 4 questions out of 8 Questions).

Placement Experience

2

There is definitely a campus placement facility available for 2nd and 3rd-year students. Great thing is that everyone can participate in the placement cell event. One company which I'm remembering was LIC. However, the packages were not high. Since I'm preparing for Civil Services, I haven't applied for any others placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are very less as compared to other colleges of North Campus, University of Delhi. In the 1st year, fees were approximate 7600p.a. while in the 2nd fees was 5800(annual fees)and 1220(exam) and for 3rd-year fees were 5800(Annual) and 1020(exam), which is quite low. You may get the internship and other scholarship also during the college period.

Campus Life

4.5

College Life is cool in every college. It depends on you how you want it to be. In every college of D.U. various college fests along with department related programs(like orientation programs, fest, farewell, debates, quizzes, poetry, etc) are held which, in fact, provides a lot of opportunities for overall development. Also, the number of books in the Library is sufficient. Also, a proper reading environment remains available. Due to the presence of a playground in college, sports tournaments also take place.

Interview Experience

5

Ther is no Group Discussion or Personal Interview for the admission process. The only thing that is required is your class 12 documents and fulfilling the criterion of the merit list. The procedure is very simple, but it is time-consuming. Your whole day will be consumed because documents are verified at multiple times. Also, your original documents are submitted in colleges but will return in 1st semester after proper verification.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Too vague to understand, feels extra burden of unnecessary irrelevant topics , extra papers like SEC/VAC simply add to the burden while barely providing with any skills and values as their name suggests . Studying them and preparing for exams add extra stress and unnecessary burden on them , diverting their focus from their core papers , which are already too huge and they study materials or readings simply fail to assist . Areas for improvement would be - proper structured study materials , also proper structured practical subjects / papers for students where they can actually learn or gain knowledge/skills which will be advantageous in their future .

I specifically chose Economics and history to study because I had an interest in both. Economics is pretty self explanatory, learning about how the world economy works is interesting. History on the other hand is interesting because you get to know how civilization and society developed.

German course has high demands and in germany there are relevant chances that I can get good paying jobs,I would say that the teachers are really nice, if you study well they will help you alot and are really appreciable, I would say there are none to improve because it's kinda easy to study the subject on your own, the difficulty of exams are what it should be like, it's good it's great, to make you a better person and student, and the time duration they give is enough to solve each and every exams
