Remarks

The institute offered me seat under the JoSAA rounds according to the rank of JEE(Mains). I researched the various aspects of the college and found that it was close to my home, offered degree of national importance. Has govt aide and quite a good NIRF ranking. Facilities are good as well.

Placement Experience

4

Campus placement of CSE, ECE, EE etc are comparatively better than other branches with CS being the highest one. Almost everyone in the CSE gets placed where's for other branches it is significantly low. Students can sit in placements from 7th semester. Highest packages go as high as 25 LPA and average is around 6 Lakhs. I am planning to try for placements as well.

College Events

3.5

Everything expected from an engineering college is there. But, if you are a girl, don't come here if your freedom is something beloved by you. Classes end at 5 and hostel gates for girls close at 6pm. There is no canteen in any hostel, no night canteens. Shops close down at 9pm and girls face too much problem participating in clubs and college culture. If they want to stay out after the time they are escorted, monitored. Their care taker- Mrs Mahua, is a angry old lady, and even call parents of girls who roam with boys and same is valid for everyone else. Short dresses are not allowed for them. All in all this is a prison and you will be kept here for the course duration. Once the girls revolted, in reply to which they were imposed heavy fine and expelling from the college. If you are a girl, please boycott NIT Agartala. This institute is 29th among all Nits in terms of girls living standard and freedom. Sports complex is there, best in class but again inaccessible by girls due to time confinement. There is indoor basketball, badminton, tennis, cricket, volleyball, football, hockey and handball courts. Girls can use them only in morning, before class time of 9 am.

Fee Structure And Facilities

There is no scholarship by the college, but the students whose parents have low income get concession. Below 1 Lakh get full reimbursement of fee, below 5 lakh- 2/3 fee reimbursement. And like everything government. Even rich ass SC/STs get full fee reimbursement.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostels are good, with each floor having bathroom and toilets. The per semester charge is around 30000. A table, chair and bed is provided along with a cupboard. I got RN Tagore hostel in first year and Aryabhatta in the second year. Being newer, RNT is much better and has lift facility for 7 storey access. The hostel is alloted along with admission.

From Gaya Steel, to JK Tyres and companies involved in production were the ones who gave us placements. On and average production engineers at our college were paid around 4-5 lakhs a year. The lowest of all but still in top corporate houses as no start-ups are into production. This established names where the one who gave us placements.

Placments at NIT Agartala are strong, with students becoming eligible for campus recruitment from 7th semester. Top compines include Google,TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, L&T, Nvidia,Samsung,BEL and public sector units(PSUs). The highest package goes upto 50 LPA in software roles, while the average package ranges from 8-12 LPA for core and tech roles. Around 80-85% students secure placements, with higher percentage in CSE,ECE and core branches. After completing my B.Tech in ECE, I plan to explore opportunities in core electronics, Embedded systems, or software development, leveraging my academic background annd internship experiences.
