Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The curriculum we follow is CBME as issued by NMC It is a good and interactive one but the teaching method could improve with more small group teaching and more no of faculty Our anatomy department had a lesser number of faculty which was one of the biggest shortcomings even though the teachers were good but in my opinion a bigger number of faculty is required

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fee could be reduced for students with low income background, The scholarship offered for general population is very low . If the scholarship even for general population would increase would be better.

Campus Life

2.5

Overall I like the functions But inclusion of more curricular activities could be done As healthy Lifestyle is also important, mbbs studies are stressful this fact is not foreseen by the world so adding some extra activities which could be an escape from the stressful environment would be a good initiative

Hostel Facilities

1.5

I would say Hostel accomodation of room where 3 persons are fitted in a small room is congested one The single room facilities are good , but the begining years where 3 persons have to fit in a single room is a very difficult and challenging one The mess fee could improve on a large scale

Admission

For the General population the cutoff is above 560+ For ST it was above 330 The application form and everything were found in Directorate of medical education tripura website Also ST ,SC and OBC had reservation and could enter with lesser marks

Course Curriculum Overview:

MBBS gives a hope of job security first, also the fee structure is bit less as compared to the other private medical colleges in India, there is a strong hospital setup along with our college gives us varied experiences in learning medicine, improvement should be made in the field of extracurricular activities which is bit less there , there are 3 exams in a year and along with a university exam afterall. Difficulty level is average

Placement Experience:

We are placed in the hospital during the internship on how good knowledge we have based on giving good treatment to the patients. The salary, in the beginning, is good and as the experience increases, we can even open our clinic or even hospital or work privately too. Placement in many renowned hospitals is quite so easy thought AGMC college and they give much money to work as a doctor. Like private Institute provide freshers 30-40k per month salary and govt are giving little bit low salary per month. But after 1year this salary increase.

Remarks:

As mentioned above, this is the kind of college you should choose with only with the thought of getting a MBBS degree. There's no provision any other way to entertain you. One can play sports in the field which is not at all maintained. Everything apart from Studies and clinics is below standards but that's what you're here for, right.

College is good in studying, clearing the skills in clinics as well as all other extracurricular activities. But as there is a bit less number of cases of patients come to hospital, there is less exposure to all sort of clinical conditions of patients for practicing.
