Tripura Medical College is recognized as one of the best medical institutions in India as it is recognized by the Medical Council Of India(MCI), the Ministry of Health, the and Government Of India. The Institution offers Both UG and PG courses. The course offered at the UG level is MBBS and MD and MS course at PG Level and it provides specialization in Medical Science, General Medicine, Pathology, and Otorhinolaryngology. A well-known Dr.B.R. Ambedkar Memorial Teaching hospital is inside the campus. The College provides internship opportunities for 12 months.
There is 100% placement as per the interview in which the candidate wants to grab the internship opportunities.
The average stipend provided is Rs15,000 - 20,000 per month.
If the candidate wants to work in the hospital itself they can join as junior residents in Dr. B .R. Ambedkar training hospital.

Post matric scholarship scheme for SC candidates:- The student belonging to the SC category and his/her family income is below Rs 2,50,000 and a resident of Tripura can apply for this scholarship. It covers expenses of the book bank, additional allowances for diseased candidates.
MI Scholarship:- Under this scholarship, Xiaomi provided financial assistance to 5000 deserving candidates will get scholarship up to 5,800. Only Indian candidates can apply for this scholarship and scored 70% on the 12th board.
NEC Merit Scholarship for students:- Candidate should be a permanent resident of a north-Eastern candidate and having a family income of more than Rs 8 lakhs and pursuing a graduation course, the amount of scholarship ranges from 20,000 to 25,000.
Dr. BM. Ambedkar Post Matric Scholarship for Economically Backward Classes, Tripura - Tripura candidates belonging to each category having a family income of less than Rs 1,00,000 can apply for this scholarship. The selected candidates will receive Rs750 and several other benefits as monthly allowances.

The hostel environment. nice rooms with lights, fans & well ventilation. water supply is 24-7 & hot water from geyser is also available. mess system is also student friendly & based on veg or non veg meal schemes are present.
People are getting good seats in pg courses and are well placed in their careers and have become good doctors.

Dislikes

The hostel rooms are decent but the bathrooms are a little dirty .
Accessible books are there but the library rules are not providing proper space for the students to explore the classrooms are with average technological facilities but the cctv cameras are of no use.
The only thing i dislike is the fees structure which is a bit pricey and all can't afford

No big feasts and food is not upto the mark

Admission:

I chooses this college as it is nearby my home state . The weather as well as the food habits are quite similar as that of people of Assam .Majority of the people are Bengalis but u will find many tribal people too.The admission process is also smooth .u just have to register in the Tripura counselling even if u are from some other state. But the cutoff here is a bit high.

Admission:

I did tried for other colleges. But i didn't get the chance as my marks were not up to the mark and also, there are huge numbers of students ahead of me. I got into my college through the counseling session. The exam accepted in my course is NEET. The cutoffs and eligibility do change yearly. So it should be checked always.

After 12th examination, appeared for NEET UG where I scrored more than cut off marks and got a chance to take admission in Tripura Medical College and BRAM Teaching Hospital on the basis of rank and score more than 60 % in Physics Chemistry and Biology in Tripura Board 12th exam after online.The application form,fees and dates were available online. Got reservation benefits for being SC which had cutoff criteria of 40th percentile which was 120-107 in 2019. NEET UG is conducted once a year which is MCQ pattern where answers are being submitted in OMR sheet. The question paper consists of 360 questions with a total mark of 720 having 4options in each. The subjects are Biology (180 questions) Physics (90 questions)and Chemistry (90 questions).For right answer 4 marks awarded and one mark is deducted for wrong ones.The difficulty level, moderate to tough,Physics being the toughest. The admission process would be better if updates of vacancy were more faster.

Marks should be above 250 in NEET Application forms will be available in the website itself in dme.tripura I.e in directorate of medical education along with Application fees and dates Yes reservation is available for lower classes such as st,obc and general too Examinations are easy to clear if you study everyday regularly and attend classes regularly For improvement purpose I feel that the admission process should be held online too

After completing my class 12 , I took the NEET UG exam 2022. I qualified the neet exam and based on my state rank I registered on the DME tripura website for admission in this college . After a few days allotment list was published on the dme tripura website and I was alloted a seat in this college. After collecting my allotment letter from the Dme tripura office ,I went to the college paid the 1st year fees and did rest of the necessary paperwork and finally my admission was completed .

Likes

Surrounding is good with food shops and tiffin houses.
Classrooms are well lit and there is the provision of AC.

Dislikes

Sometimes there is some quarrels and backbitching among students of here.

Admission:

The college cutoff for MBBS seats is around 460-465 in 2021. I cleared the cutoff and took admission in this college. After applying for admission in the counselling process, I was given the chance to take admission in this college. The admission process was smooth. There are reserved seats for Scheduled Caste(SC) and Scheduled Tribe(ST) candidates in this college.

The life of both hostel and college stops working all of a sudden

Admission:

The admission fee for 1st year was 15lakh including all the tutor and hostel fees etc etc. We have 3 sem per year followed by an university exam at the end of the year. You have to give NEET-UG to get a seat in any private or govt medical college

The memories spend day by day and the interaction between junior and senior.

Admission:

Eligibility:50 percentage mark atleast in 12th and Good marks in Neet UG.. The seat will be decided by merit list provided by DME tripura. Application form : Provide by NTA before neet ug exam.. There are decreased cut off is required for SC and ST .... Timing of exam....In the month of MAY of every year It is one of the difficult competitive exam across India. Focus on PCB group and on NCERT book to improve scores.

It is completely based on NEET UG marks. Application form can be obtained through online and same goes for application fees and dates. There are proper reservation for SC and ST students but not for UG. Exam is not so much difficult. There is no area for improvement from my point of view
