JEC, a Very reputed engineering college of ASSAM

The college infrastructure is very good and hostels are also very well maintained. Faculties are well qualified and there teaching style is also very good. Canteens are neat and clean. Library has a huge collection of books Auditorium is very large. Many tech fests, events, annual functions are taking place in the college. placement is above average for ME, good for CES, the average for EE, below average for CE and not good for IE.

Teachers are very well qualified and their teaching styles are good. They very help full. The labs are very good in condition. courses are complete in time. assignments are also provided to us and projects are done with or without the help of teachers.

The college provides at least 3 internships to all students. Also, many other companies come to college and provide internships. online internships are also done by the students of this college. College faculties help the students and advise them about these .

The placement for CSE is good. Around 70% of students are getting placed every year. Wipro, TCS and many other companies and IT companies hire students from the CSE branch. In mechanical placement is average around 40% of students get placed every year. OIL, NRL, APDCL, IOCL etc PSU's came and hire students from the mechanical branch along with the privet companies. Placement of CIVIL is not so good and electrical is quite average. In IE placement in not so good.

The fees here are very low. One has to pay approx 5500 for an even semester and approx 10000 for odd semester admission. Exam form fills up, take around 1500 rs. Hostel admission fees are 1200 rs(including 1st months mess dues). student have to pay around 3000 per month for mess dues. All govt scholarships are provided for eligible students like Ishan Uday, Indira Gandhi Pg etc. Private scholarships are also provided like COLGATE, MI and many more.

PHOENIX is the tech fest of the college. Many other events are also held at the college. There are many clubs like the photography club, robotics club is present in the college. Annual sports are also held in the college with great joy. College Library has a great collection of books. Thousands of books are available there for the students.

There are 10 hostels are present in JEC. All are good in infrastructure and well maintained. 24*7 running water, 24*7 current are provided to the students. Food quality is not so bad but no so good also but Quite average.

No interview needed for admission. One has to clear the entrance with a good rank and he will be admitted to the college through counselling. If anyone gets under 1100 rank on CEE than there is a high probability that he or she would be admitted to the college.
