Remarks

I chose this college because of it's ranking (comes under Top 20 B-schools in India). Peers are from IITs NITs etc. Good infrastructure facilities. ROI is good - Fees 9L-10L and average package 20L. The college provides 100% placements.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is really very good. The curriculum covers almost all aspects of personality development, subjects to gain a better understanding of business. The curriculum involves various case studies, assignments and reports etc to learn from practical problems by finding solutions. Some faculties are really good and some are okay. Exams are conducted on time, the dates of the exam are given before starting the semester.

Internships Opportunities

College does offer Summer internship opportunities, winter internship opportunities and live projects. Various companies from various industries visit campus to offer internship opportunities in finance, operations, marketing, sales, IT, HR etc.

Placement Experience

From the first semester itself, students are eligible for campus placements. Summer internship process starts immediately after joining the college in the first semester. Final placements start after completing the third semester. DMS, IIT Delhi has 100% placements record. Average package is approximately Rs 20L.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are less as compare to other similar colleges. Financial assistance is given to category students as well as scholarships are offered. Various companies visit the campus for placements. Average package is Rs 20L.

Campus Life

Currently, the college is being conducted online due to the pandemic situation. The college has various committees and clubs. All the committees and clubs are run by students only. Webinars, events, activities are conducted by these committees and clubs. Annual cultural and sports event "Parivartan" is organised each year.

Interview Experience

Group discussion/ WAT, Personal interview are parts of the admission process. Due to Covid, my group discussion/WAT, personal interviews rounds were cancelled. But I have prepared for them already. Followings things were part of my interview preparation- 1. Currents affairs, 2. HR questions, 3. Basics of Finance, marketing, HR, strategy and consulting, operations, 4. In-depth study of subjects which I studied in my graduation degree.

The Real Unbiased Truth of JIMS Kalkaji

Placement Experience:

Placements of my college are average when compared with other B-schools of similar level. The companies which have visited so far for internships are mostly start ups like Wealth Blue and Outlook, but some other companies like ITC, Bajaj Capital and Coca Cola moon beverages have also come on campus. The highest stipend promised so far is 15,000 for 3 months or 10,000 per month for 2 months. A lot of students are yet to be placed, both for final and summer placements. My plan is also to get a job post my PGDM.

Placement Experience:

Compass provide a place the highest package our were born is 20 lakhs per annum from the Fite department and the average placement gets around 8 to 10 laks and the minimal is7-8 lakhs. The placement is good in sales and finance department. Most of the companies comes for sales and Management. You can also offer for the finance.

Good opportunity in JIMS

Placement Experience:

From 4th trimester onwards that if from August onwards after coming back from 3 months summer internships, companies come for placements and students can apply to the companies. The companies that visited campus are DELOITTE, KPMG, ACCENTURE,TCS, RANDSTAD,ICICI,SBI, MOTILAL OSWAL, BAJAJ, ASIAN PAINTS, ADITYA BIRLA, BLACKROCK, GRIDLINES etc. and many more. The highest package of our batch went for 24 lakhs( Oman based company) , average went around- 7-8 lakhs , lowest - 4.5-5 lakhs. Profiles offered- Sales head, operational manager, Deputy branch manager, Junior Analyst, Analyst, HR - talent acquisition team , underwriting team etc. Right now more than 80% of students have gotten placed and rest are in the placement process which will be till April. I have been placed in ICICI LOMBARD for Underwriting and Claims process and will be joining the company soon.
