Likes

The Department has weekly guest lectures where one or multiple industry leaders visit the campus to share their corporate experience.
The course curriculum is best suited for people interested in Analytics and gives hands on experience for modern techniques making the MBA programme more unique.
The discipline and seriousness shown by your peers creates an excellent learning environment.

Dislikes

My batch was admitted without the interview process which created loopholes in the overall discipline of the batch.
A little lack of resources as compared to IIMs kind of pushes the Department behind in rankings.
If you are part of multiple Clubs and Committees, it gets a little tough to manage all the tasks.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is mostly aligned towards Economics but you don't need to have prior experience in the field, you can start afresh and still excel. I picked this course specifically for the Analytics part of it.

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 50000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is around 50k a year, making it a very affordable MBA programme in the country. The Department has one of the best ROIs among B-schools. There is category wise rebate offered in the total fee.

Campus Life

There are 13 Clubs and Committees on the Department with each having one annual event and a few of them having weekly events, this makes the campus life and the MBA experience very engaging. The library on campus has everything an MBA Student might need in his time at campus. The cultural committee and sports club makes sure that the experience is not just academic but has fun element attached to it.

Admission

I picked DBE over others because of the Amazing ROI it offers, it has 14.41LPA average package when the overall fee is less than 2 Lakhs (including SB Fund). The admission process includes Personal Interviews. I would suggest the candidates to visit the Official Website for detailed information on the department.

Faculty

The faculty-to-student ratio is around 1:20, and the faculty being very approachable when it comes to grievances or any other help needed by the students. The faculty is very well experienced in their field, creating an amazing learning environment. There are 7 subjects per semester in the first year and 6 in the second year. As every other college, it is easy to clear the exams as long as people study seriously.

Night Life

The campus being in Delhi has an amazing night life. People living nearby campus area have access to the metro nearby and is very close to the center of the city. Boys Hostel has no in time but Girls hostel has some restrictions. Satya Niketan area just outside the campus is a SPOT for every student.

Placement Experience:

Compass provide a place the highest package our were born is 20 lakhs per annum from the Fite department and the average placement gets around 8 to 10 laks and the minimal is7-8 lakhs. The placement is good in sales and finance department. Most of the companies comes for sales and Management. You can also offer for the finance.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is highly Economics focused hence the name Business Economics. Its a plus point for people coming from Economics background however others struggle a bit. All in all one needs to study really hard.

DBE Experience

Placement Experience:

Till the time of writing, I am in 3rd month of my 5 month last semester and in my class about 60% of my batch is placed. You have to submit a student body fee of 40000 a year to be eligible for taking placements as this help out in having events organized outside the college. As there is no placement cell provided by DU, our student body is mostly run by students. Currently highest package offered was about 27 lpa and roles that have come are management trainee, Junior Data scientist, risk analyst etc.

Placement Experience:

The unique selling point of this college would be placement. Big companies come here for hiring and take a bunch if students among them, the students who have completed their first year are eligible to sit in placement Companies like Delloite, Black Rock, loreal, Federal Bank, MRF, and many more visit every year for placement with an average package of 8 to 9 lakhs. The highest package one student got is 33 lakhs. The percentage of students getting placed is 80-100 percent, depending on the time. My plans after my degree are the same as many students to get placed in a good company with a good package

DBE Experience

I did got 98.16 percentile but being a General Engineer Male candidate, I didn't had a lot of options. I applied to almost all IITs, IIMs and all other colleges who take admission from CAT. I chose this college because of the fees, as I got call from IMT gaziabad and IMI New Delhi both of them having fees over 20 lakhs vs this college whose fees is about 2 lakhs including student body. I got rejections from all other colleges because of being a GEM candidate and low academics, some interviews didn't go up to the mark. The admission of this college is pretty easy as from 2-3 years they have stopped taking personal interviews so you only get accepted based on your overall score which includes gender score, academics of 10th, 12th and grad, also takes which degree you took in account. pretty much this sums up my answer...Read More

It's a great bet, if you want to do MBA that too with low fees, good brand & great placements!

I got offer from mostly all baby IIMs, I chose DBE because of ROI, and the brand of University of Delhi is unmatchable already in India, also taking loan for an MBA in this tough market? Are you really making a rational decision? Here ROI is beyond roofs. Review of DBE from its student

The admission is via CAT exam and average percentile is around 94-95. The major factor that is attractive here is that it is not a generic MBA and is unique in its way.
