Remarks

My rank was not too good so I was looking for a college with less academic fees and better results so then I hear about GB pant govt engineering college. GB pant engineering college was one the best govt. Colleges in IP university so I gave the exam, which is called ipu cet and I scored a quite well rank in cet and got admission in this college. The reasons why I decided to get admission to this college was its academic fee which is 38000 only and it's a government college so this was a good option for me. Other colleges charging a huge amount of fee for this kind of course so this was my main reason. I did frequently visit the collegedunia site for regular update of college admissions and other related queries because collegedunia provide brief data about the thing which is going to happen and it's not about engineering college, even DU and other states institutions also there so we can get any information about the admission and other related queries.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this course because I have an interest in electronics and electrical devices and I scored well in physics in my twelfth standard. Faculty is quite well Because all the teachers are UPSC qualified and have a great Command of their subjects and their teaching style is very impressive means they believe in practical knowledge rather than theoretical and explain thing so briefly and logically. there are two semesters each year and each semester consist of two exams for each subject first is the internal and the second one is external. Internal exam organized by college faculty with 2 units of each subject and external exams organized by the university which consist of complete 4 units and course is quite tough but we learned a lot through experiences and study so not too hard to pass.

Internships Opportunities

3

Yes, our college offers both on and off-campus internships. A number of companies offered internships to the students and some govt. An organization like NTPC, Delhi Metro, Indian railway, ONGC, etc. But some of the companies offered the stipend. Internships are the tasks that teach us about on ground work. Because in colleges we just get the information about the thing but we don't know how to apply it on the ground level and how it works so internships are that activity.

Placement Experience

3.5

If we talk about placements then the placement starts from 7 semesters and select the students on a certain test and pi rounds. Companies keep minimum criteria for giving these test and pi rounds so we have to maintain our scores in academics otherwise that should not be ok for our careers. The companies that visited our college are Maruti Suzuki, Godrej, Infosys and many of their eligibility conditions vary according to their requirements. The highest package offered by a company was 7 LPA and the minimum was 2.4 LPA which is according to their knowledge and work quality. 70 % of students get placed in last year. My plans after my degree are also the same that is getting a job and settle as soon as possible.

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost to study each year is around 38000 thousand of which 25000 is Tuition fee 12000 thousand university charges 1000 other charges. And which is good for this kind of course so a lower-middle-class student can also get the education of best engineering course at an affordable cost. If we talk about scholarships then there are several types of scholarships provided by the Delhi govt. And the number of students availed of these schemes if they are eligible as per the condition.

Campus Life

2.5

GB pant is an economical college and has a small land so the infrastructure is not too good but annual fest and other curriculum activities have organized very harshly. College strength is around 800 students so according to this number, our college organized fest and activities according to this. Last year we have organized our tech fest incepted and sports fest Fortius and freshers party and more events. So campus life is not too good but it's average. We have a good library space in the college and space over there is enough according to our strength and the books available there are of good authors. So things are better in this college if you coming for study purposes. I am part of two societies in the college one is dramatic society and the other is e cell which means Entrepreneurship cell. So college consists of all facilities.

Students after completing third year are eligible for placement. Placements start before starting of fourth year, and it requires students to have no backlogs in any subjects. However companies can imply their own rules to filter the students such as minimum CGPA criteria. But placements of our college is one of the best placement for a non-IIT college, despite having so many student intake.
