Just the class 12th boards.. cutoffs set by individual colleges of delhi university. I first took admission in maytri, which is in south campus.
Course Curriculum Overview
Well the course is same throughout the university irrespective of the college. The slow and gradual approach to the higher more complex details by final year is quite good. The first year trying to set yourself to the new atmosphere and the curriculum does seems demanding as what we read a paragraph about in school now apparently are turned into subjects each semester.
College Events
Our college does gets to celebrate alot thanks to the active participation of the students and societies in the college. There is an annual fest "manjari" alot of performances, competition, food etc. Looks more like a carnival to be honest.
Fees and Financial Aid
No. The college or university in general doesnt has such facility. But it does encourage students to avail scholarships from other sources.
Campus Life
Well gender ratio is 100:0. Being an all women college. Only males we see are our lab staffs(science department) or our lecturers. Which are really few in number. The extra curricular activities are off charts. Students are exposed to different societies, NSS, NCC & Sports. Apart from then alot of the crowd joins various NGO to.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni are quite linked up with the staff. Not so well known among the students expect the funny stuff. That most of our younger professors actually did graduated from the same college. And watching senior professors talking about their freshers.
Faculty
Well. Let's just say that spoon feeding throughout the school life. Did hamper our mindset towards what life would be in college. While the faculty in my department did a great job, from helping students adjust with making their own notes to sharing their own collection.
