My college experience.

I will never give a bad remark on my college nor on the management side, because I always used to get the good feedback from professor to security guys, they always respected me and I was polite to them whenever they talked to me, so their is no point of getting cruel or making wild faces on them. I was know by everyone in the college.

The entrance exam which I gave was PGCET(Post Graduate for Common Entrance Test), My ranking was 52000, I opted VIAT college because of two reasons 1) It was a government college and the fee structure was very less compared to other colleges, I had setup my mind as such , no matter which college you study, it is all your hard works which matters a lot at the end of the day.2) I knew that most of the professors were from top colleges like RV,UVCE etc and most of them had done their Phd and my seniors suggested me to join VIAT.

MCA (Master of Computer Application) is the course where u represent yourself as a Post Graduate, you will be provided to learn all the basics of each and every programming. like c,c++,java, html, css etc after doing this if you feel you are good with any one of the programming skills, you can continue your life in doing research work. In order to do any research program you should be very familiar with basic concepts and ground work of the survey, MCA is the field where it teaches you everything, in terms of becoming researcher and a professional induvidual.

No, our college doesn't provide internship, but however our professors had a good knowledge on how and where to take the internships programs and he always helped us to give better guidance in this way I was successful in my life, In order to be successful we should believe in our self 1st to be successful.

There is no placement activities in our college, however we have got a good knowledge on how to crack the interviews and be a better professional.We had a separate sessions on professional,personal growth and technical rounds of interview were conducted every month, just to make us strong on the technical side and to gain self confidence.

All kinds of Puja's, Every Monday's we use to have puja in seminar hall where each and everyone had to mandatory attend this seesion, where HOD of the respective department come and represent what we(students) would be doing for that particular week. Freshers day and sendoff to seniors were the events where I used to be the anchor and host the program. It was really an ultimate fun, for feshers we used to give a brief understanding about the college rules and how to behave with seniors and other non-teaching staff we always.

Fee structure was not competitive compared to other colleges, as it was a government college, we used to get the fees return by applying scholarship my college fee was "25000". As I studied in government college, paying fee was not a big pain for me.

Yes, I always apply for a merit scholarship from our college and I used to get the scholarship amount based to the percentage you get in your semesters exam and it should be more than 60% and I would easily get these marks and qualify for the scholarship.

Our campus was really good! most of the time I could see myself roaming alone in the campus, gossiping with professors to security guys most of them were males in our college, I hardly use to see babes in our college we used to play all kinds of sports, most often played is cricket. and wen it comes to extracurricular activities we used to have fun as if their is no tomorrow.

Food facilities were not at all good, because we had to walk kms to go and get the food, and in college we had a canteen, but we used to get the food only during those trimmings, of we go after the scheduled time we were not getting the food and if we feel like munching something after good we were not getting anything in our surroundings, that was really annoying to me.

Most of the time I used to spend my time with seniors and Because my seniors were aware of most of the places next to our college and used to have lot of fun going with them, and when it comes to academics they always helped in understanding the logics of the programs.

In every 3months we used to have Semester exam, very hectic schedule and as soon as we complete our lab exams we were having external exams, everything was organised in a professional and a functional way, but I especially had very tiring today during exams and I hardly used to sleep during my external exams. I was very famous among my friends when it comes to late night studies and I morning I used to help my friends with watever I studied in the previous night.

After my BCA results, I always checked the VTU website for the notification, after some days they released the notification, I had to download the application form and fill in all the details and do attestation for all my markscard, and upload those forms in the website of PGCET board and waited for some days to get an exam date. And as usual checked the website for the exam date. After somedays exam date was scheduled for MCA studensts and prepared well for the exam and wrote the exam one fine day. After I got my PGCET results, they had given me a particular date to pay the fees, in favour of VTU chancellor as DD(Demand Draf) in VTU cell, I paid 25000 in college for 1year .

My faulty were the best compared to any other faculties, because most of them had their Phd's, Their guidance was really good in terms of making student understand what exactly he should do after pursuing MCA and it helped us a lot to become a better individual and a best professional.
