Remarks

The environment of the gauhati university is very nice. I'm also belong to guwahati town and it's a women related subject so that's why i am choosing this subject. This is the oldest university among northeast india.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course of women's studies is open for each and every discipline that's what its a interdisciplinary in nature. Law, commerce, science, arts every streams students can picking up this course. This is specifically for the women they are very much benefited.

There are a lot of Placement opportunities from our university. Almost the top students are admitted in the university so students are also getting the opportunity to engaged various programs like volunteership from the students life. There is alumni meet in yearly basis for good communication to whole department.

Campus life is really very much enjoyable. There are different students activities like yout festival, versity week, freshman social, literary festivals, sports festivals, NSS programs, dance compitition etc. There are good wifi condition in all the campus.

Thoughts regarding my college

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placement in 5th semester.Various companies come for placement like HDFC bank and more.The package that was offered was around 2lpa in 2024.During our time placement drive was organised in 5th semester but the companies demanded immediate joining which was not possible for us to join since we were already left with one more semester to complete .

Placements are good . Around 60% students gets placed. More than 250+ companies visits. Many students are preferring DS and Non Tech roles after graduation ( for core branches ) and they are getting good opporutunities in them aswell.

The placement is quite good in my college. In 7 th semester the placements start and the package goes from 16lpa to 2 cr . About 75 percent student who applied got placed . I want to work in a software firm.

Course curriculum is Really tough...its really hard to complete this vast syllabus in a year that is anatomy of whole body, biochemistry whole reactions and physiology whole processes that is physiological in nature.

My academic experience at University Law College, Gauhati University

Before enrolling myself in ULC, GU it tried to get in to Facuty of Law, Delhi University but because of lack of preparation time as I decided to get myself into studying law very late, I could't clear that particular exam and then to seek for other options I found ULC which has a very rich history of a great alumni base including esteemed Jurists and Lawyers around the country. The admission process includes an examination of 100 marks coducted by Gauhati University which tests students knowledge in various aspects including General Knowlege, English, Mathematics, Logical Reasoning. The cut off for general category students ranges from around 20 to 30 based on the result of other students. I got through this exam scoring 56 with a rank of 5.
