Established in 1965 Dibrugarh University is one of the best universities in the state. It was ranked 86 in the 101?150 band overall in India among universities and 35 in the pharmacy ranking by NIRF in 2019. In addition to this the ambience of the university has always attracted me always. The University is spread over an area of 500 acres with several facilities which include in-campus canteens, hostels, parks, playgrounds, indoor stadium, gymnasium hall, guest houses, ponds, outdoor halls, indoor sports hall, basketball/volleyball courts, etc. The Lakshminath Bezbaruah Central Library is the hub to access numerous books, encyclopedias, journals, magazines, novels, newspaper and many others. It caters to the need of all the students and teachers and every necessary book is received here. Also the university is located in an urban area i.e. just 5kms from the Dibrugarh town. Most departments and hostels also provide free Wi-Fi to the students for their assignments. Also most departments and centres have their own library facility for their respective students. The campus placement of the overall students is also satisfactory.
