Remarks

Gauhati University is located into the center of Assam and the beauty of the environment of this university attract each and every individuals. I have also applied for other institutions, some of them i have selected some of them haven't. I mostly like in this university because of it's cultural events, It's really a enjoyable moment. I have choose English as my post graduate course because it's my major subject in graduation.

Course Curriculum Overview

The department of English in gauhati university is an older subject. And the faculty of the department also really knowledgeable persons. There are almost 15 faculty including guest faculty and contractual teachers. gauhati university is outside from the city so there is not any industrial exposure.

Class Size: 25Course Fees: INR 50000 per year

Placement Experience

After the completion of course our alluminies get lots of jobs, internship programs, research scholars, cleared NET, SLET, lots of companies visited and invited for internship programs aswell.

College Events

Gauhati university though it is the first higher institutional hub of assam, instead of knowledge bearing but now it's become a mostly cultural institution. We really enjoys all the events. University also holding lots of seminar at the international aswell as national level.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the course is very rich and varied for someone from commerce background . There are a lot of subjects for students which students study in various semesters . There's even EVS in the curriculum which is wierd but also great . I feel the curriculum is a lot based on the real life there are topics related to computerised accounting, e businesses , virtual reality , augmented reality , stock markets etc etc . which are ig very necessary for today's world . Since I am just in my 1st semester I don't think I can say a lot about the improvements that can be made but I feel the curriculum can also include a little about AI as it's the burning topic of today's world . If there's a subject like EVS for commerce then I feel even an AI subject will not pose much difficulty or chaos among the students . Exams are very regular . I just had my sessional exams in October and now I am preparing for my finals which are in December

A considerable college to look for. Sure it would be a very great experience.

Placement Experience:

In Msc courses, there are no placements offered by the institute. However the institute of technology offers placements for btech and mtech students. The highest package this year was 12LPA and the average package was 8 LPA.

Just lecture, ppt presentation maths (math is mean what the.), give notes from internet. Science department is good. But for others just see another college otherwise you'll regret. Drastic improvement is need. I don't like it at all. I'll say it is mid. It is ok as i said before.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choosed Physics department as I liked physics more than other subjects in Higher Secondary. Also in this college, Physics department is one of the finest departments with proper equipments available that are required for practical educations. My academic experience at University Law College, Gauhati University

Before enrolling myself in ULC, GU it tried to get in to Facuty of Law, Delhi University but because of lack of preparation time as I decided to get myself into studying law very late, I could't clear that particular exam and then to seek for other options I found ULC which has a very rich history of a great alumni base including esteemed Jurists and Lawyers around the country. The admission process includes an examination of 100 marks coducted by Gauhati University which tests students knowledge in various aspects including General Knowlege, English, Mathematics, Logical Reasoning. The cut off for general category students ranges from around 20 to 30 based on the result of other students. I got through this exam scoring 56 with a rank of 5.
