Remarks

Our University has highly qualified faculty members who are very student friendly. Everything is cool but only the administration of the university is quite problematic( delay the exam results), however Officials of our department have handled those problems and till now we have not faced any such trouble. Actually if anyone wants to opt Mining or Metallurgical engineering then they would face no problem in this University.

Course Curriculum Overview

Yes everything is good. Faculties are just awesome. We were supposed to be taken for training this year, but due to pandemic it was not possible. Previous Diploma batches were sent for training on time and their experience was well. And course syllabus is made according to the syllabus of GATE.

Course Fees: INR 160000 per year

Placement Experience

Placement offers in our Department is OK. A student with good grades can easily get a job by studying metallurgical engineering(from campus) but in case of mining one must qualify GATE to get a government job. I don't know much about the non-government organisations in mining sector.

College Events

Since KNU is new(Estd. - 2012) so it is still devoloping and it can take some more years to become fully fledged. Cultural activities based on various occasions are held. Even in this pandemic the University had arranged a webinar to celebrate Vishwakarma Puja.

My Experience at TPI as a 3rd Year Diploma Undergrad

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are good. Big names are associated with TPI for campus placements. But for Computer Science students, very few companies arrive, that too with very less salaries. (not worth it). It is generally reccomendable if you can do a Btech is come college and work on your skills there, your employbility gets higher. Highest package from Computer Science is 20 LPA (off-campus) and lowest package is 1.8 LPA (on-campus). Generally on campus placements range from 2 to 3 LPA.

Niper Kolkata: from starting to end

Placement Experience:

2nd year students are eligible for the campus placement. Sai, Hetero, mendine, dr. Reddys etc companies visities for the campus placement. Offers ranges from 5-12 lpa. 60% students gets placed, 10% goes for higher studies and others get job off campus in my department. Other departments has 100% placement. My plans are pHd from Niper as it provides vast knowledge and instrumental exposure.

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.

our college average package is 600000 per Anum and highest package is 1800000 per Anum according to recent data. and 80% of student got placed . And wipro , windows, tcs , siemens , tata like companies come to our college for placement. Core students are also got placed but many of them goes for hihger studies.

Computer faculty is the best ??

Other than dwc, I have applied in various colleges.. like asansol girls college, burdwan women's college, many colleges of Kolkata, durgapur michal Madhusudan college, Durgapur goverment college etc.. I have also given the ug cuet exam.. I only gave admission test in this college, as it was the closest to my home. No i didn't get rejected as I never applied although i did gave the cuet exam and i couldn't qualify. Our college's admission process is quite simple. We had to fill the online form in the college website and then check the merit list and appear in college on the day they mention for document verification .
