Remarks

This college have a track record of studies along with all curricular activities. Adding to that the the location away from city makes it a great place for study and provide less distraction. The college has one of the largest campus in odisha. The other side add up as more number of students being selected for post graduate after mbbs due to better resources.

Course Curriculum Overview

The main features of the institute is its hard working faculty who provide us their assistance time to time. The syllabus was totally completed according to schedule. There is much exposure on clinical aspects as dept. Visit is regular.

As it's a medical institute, there is a certainty in placement in government hospitals as well as if we opt for private hospitals we have to go through different interviews. Our college have produced notable alumni who are now renowned doctor in all parts of India.

College Events

Our college hold inter medics which has been witnessed by over students of all the medical college of odisha. Our college celebrated its own sports and cultural events once a year. Apart from these there are also cultural program hosted whenever we observe a day of national or regional importance.

Campus Life

Our campus has, one new complex as well as opd complex where class are being conducted. Every single subject has been designed it's own room. We have separate ground for all indoor as well as outdoor sports.we have a 2 storeys library with capacity of 1lakh book as well as digital library. All the labs have dedicated room with sufficient supplies of apparatus.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is 3 storeyed. Having capacity of 150 students. It's always guarded by watchmen, and visited by warden. Water and sanitation are good. Food availability is also there. Hostel has separate place for study and entertainment. Wi-Fi connection is available. Parking lot is also present.

Hostel Fee: INR 58000 per year

A Complete Review of KIIT University from a Student's View

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at KIIT are quite good, especially for us the CSE students.The eligibility criteria for campus placements starts from 7th semester. Many well-known companies visit the university every year like TATA Consultancy Services , Infosys, Wipro, Accenture and Capgemini.The average package offered is around 6-8 lakhs and highest package offered around per yr avg is 50-60 lakhs.The percentage of students getting placements is around 90% plus in average per yr. After completing my degree, i plan to work in software industry and gain more experience in the field of technology

My College Life.

Placement Experience:

Students after 5th semester are allowed to get pre placement training. And then from 7th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placements. Companies visited to our college for recruitment are like TCS, Accenture,Zenus, Infosys etc Average package in my college is 8LPA and the highest package of this year is 25LPA. Almost 70 percent students get placement. My plan is to get a job as a Software Engineer in Google with a package of 30LPA.

Placement Experience:

So from 7th semester plcements are starting.Various Tech and Non Tech companies are also coming like TCS ,Accenture, Cognizant, Delloitte, InfoSys, KFinTech, Incture, GyanSys, Iserveu for Tech branches. and PRADAN, Aditya Birla etc for Non tech branches. Students also getting offers from OffCampus like RedHat ,CISCO ,Amazon ,Google. From On Campus Highest Package goes upto 12 to 15LPA and lowest is 4.5 but average is 5 to 6 LPA which is comperable. And about almost all are who are opting for placements got placed eventually.

After 6th semester the students get eligible for company placement. There are huge companies visited every year for the placement and many big MNCs like Amazon offers 100seats , Wipro offers 200, detollite offers 100, microsoft offers 10, ITC offers 150 , Infosys offers 300, TCS offers 200, Flipkart offers 150 and many more . Every year almost 80% of the students get placed at a good company with a minimum of 4 lakhs . After getting the degree I am planning to get placed in a multi national company like Amazon or Microsoft

In 5th semester the campus is coming to give you jobs. The company are vedant ltd, jsw, tata, reliance etc, outside companies also come. Maruti Suzuki. 60 to 70 per cent of students gate the job. I am also job junior engineer at Tata.

Courses and instructors are good, but don't expect a rocking campus life here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this college without planning as I couldn't get a desired seat in IIT. But I think it was for good. The course is a wonderful primer on the path of becoming a scientist. Compared to other colleges, IISER Berhampur has a quite good faculty: student ratio. But most of them are pretty good as people and as teachers. We manage to conduct all classes without fail. But I'd like to see an increase in the number so that the research area can be broadened. The faculty here have all completed their Ph.D. and postdoc and all have some good prior experience in research and teaching. I like most of the instructors that have taught me except for a few one or two. The exam schedule is given right with the calendar release of each semester before the semester starts. Sometimes there might be changes in the schedule but we are informed around 2-3 weeks earlier in that case. Exams are not hard to pass if you attend classes and study sincerely. Questions are not asked beyond the concepts being taught.

Life at BGU

Placement Experience:

After the summer internship. The college started giving campus placement training and during the month of September, students got placement already. Companies like TATA AIG, Collegedunia, Federal Bank, Delloite, ADP, TCI, SIS, HDFC AMC. IDFC BANK. Practo, ADVARISK, AXIS BANK. Property pistol came and took a maximum of students. The highest package was offered by international companies like property pistol with 22 lac CTC and average being 5lacs. Mostly the profile was on sales and marketing. only a few fintech companies could recruit students. Till now around 96% of students are placed in different domains and already started working. I am fortunate enough to get placed in the FEDERAL bank with 10lac CTC and as a fresher joining such a big company will be extremely grateful to the college and its placement team. They personally look after students drawback by the feedback they get from the recruitment teams and suggest where to improve and give a number of opportunities to seat for the company.

Admission:

I filled my form online and provided my cl-12th results with my application as per their demand.Later they also took my entrance exam. And on the basis of my 12th results and my entrance test results,they enrolled me in our college.

All are good,but only fooding quality is below the level.And also it does not have any playground available to play outdoors games.only it have not a playground but this college have good class room,WiFi campus, Computer centre,canteen, language lab and hostel are there.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT VIMSAR

The main reason I choosed this college over other is because VIMSAR is very old college (est. 1959) and old government medical colleges are very good to pursue MBBS. moreover it offers many higher education courses like PG, SS(Superspeciality). The large infrastructure of VIMSAR offers 200 seats. I got selected in SNMCH dhanbad and other colleges of jharkhand but they either have poor infrastructure or do not have much PG seats. I surely got rejected from various Top Ranked colleges like AIIMS and JIPMER, because of very high cutoff of those colleges You have to clear NEET UG with a good rank of 12k to 13k (from general catagory) to get selected in VIMSAR for MBBS course. Life in vimsar

The admission process was pretty smooth and nice. I took the NEET exam after that counselling happened. The cutoff for the college was about 625 and I got 621. There were doctors sitting in front of us. After the paperwork was done we were asked to get checked by the doctors of the respective departments I.e. surgery, ent, etc. Then after that, we were introduced to only the anatomy department labs and museum. The candidate must have qualified for NEET in that academic year. The application form is available on the official website of NEET fees are around 1600 for general and 1500 for general_ews and OBC, 900 for SC/ ST/ PH category. As per Government regulations for NEET reservation criteria, 27% of seats for OBC, 10% of seats for EWS, 15% of seats for SC, and 7.5% of seats for ST are reserved in Central Universities and state medical colleges. Yeah, I would definitely want to see some changes like the schedule of counseling and admission should be informed to the applicants as early as possible to avoid the rush at the end moment. This should be followed for hostel admission also. People should be counseled properly by college students only before joining the college because MBBS requires a lot of hard work and dedication....Read More
