Remarks

Definitely CIT is a good college. I love my experience in CIT.

Course Curriculum Overview

Industrial visits and internships are part of this course. Especially internships make this course unique. Like job interviews, several companies were invited for internship recruitment. Best thing is stipend maximum of 40k. Some of the students went to US for internships. As it is autonomous college syllabus is updated that matches with current IT technology. Subjects are very much related to software field.

Placement Experience

5

Two 6 months internships are mandatory as a part of the course. One is during 7th semester and another one is during 10th semester. Instead of examinations these internship projects will be evaluated and marks were given. Internship opportunities was given by college management.

College Events

4.5

Several fests were celebrated throughout the year. Including technical, cultural. Seperate fest conducted for hostel students as well. One of the fest used be conducted state wise. Several other colleages participated in this one. It was so fun and it was completely organised by students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is definitely feasible one. Hostel accommodation fee was 20k per year. Mess bill paid on monthly basis. It came around 2-3k. No additional charges. Dining halls are big one. Non vegetarian provided twice a week. Utensils also provided from management. It is upon our wish use that.

Fees and Financial Aid

Trust provided scholorship for students secured more than 90% mark also whose family income below 2 lakhs. It came around 1 lakh. Management provided application form for this scholorship, all the nessecary steps were taken by management and faculties.

Campus Life

Boys students were higher in college but in our course girls were more. Mostly middle class students were more in our college. No such rules that boys don't talk to girls. No political involvement and racism. CIT is one of the reliable college where we can be free, happy and evolve.

Hostel Facilities

Yes. Hostels are sharing type. Two sharing, three sharing, four sharing rooms are available. Fee varies based on room type. Jym, TV, dining halls, yoga room, tennis court, basketball court, cricket ground available. Rooms are actually spacious, seperate cup boards were given. Per year 20k was collected for accommodation, mess bill paid monthly basis

Alumni/Alumna

Some of our alumni were in higher positions in the biggest companies. TCS CEO was a CIT alumni. Because of this we used to get lot of companies for job opportunities. Also 2 months once alumni visted our college and talked with us. It gave a good idea about the jobs, studies. Yearly once alumni meeting also conducted by college.

Admission

Only few colleges have integrated master degree course. CIT is one of the best college with good faculties and infrastructure. Admission procedure is little tough. First round is a written one, it covers only school syllabus. But questions are twisted, we can answer only if we learnt the concepts. Second round consist of three panel interview, first two panels were conducted by Associate profeesors who have completed PhD with 10+ years of experience and it is a technical one. As this course related to software most of the questions were related to computer science and few physics questions.Third panel interview was conducted by Principal unlike the previous rounds it is non technical, most of questions can be answered just by knowing the current affairs. The main advantage of CIT is guaranteed job. From product to service companies visited CIT for recruitment process. Having 2 to 3 job offers is very simple. Communication training, personality development, technical training everything was provided from college.

Faculty

5

In a semester we used to interact with almost 10 lecturers. First 3 years only assistant profeesors gave lectures, they are usually young around 30-40. For 4th and 5th year Associate proceed and docterate profeesor gave lecturers, they all are above 40.Proffeesers were very friendly also talented. Most of them were passes net exams also most of them were ex software engineers. So they had good practical knowledge on subjects which was very helpful in lab sessions.

Placement Experience:

For campus placements students of the 4th year or 7th semester are the eligible ones. Multiple companies like zoho, apple,TCS,CTS, accenture etc have come and multiple small companies too. But the intake for the big and reknown MNCs were low from abt 2-3 candidates only.the placement here is 100% but the companies may vary.My future goal is to go for a government official stream after I finish my masters abroad.

From 3rd year itself a student become eligible for campus placements and some of seniors got ino flipkart like companies. So the college is good at placement. In any colleges, due to college the student can't only be placed, their skills, talents, communication is more important to get placed so based their knowledge the students get placed. only thing college need to do is getting good companies with package and our college also provide it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

me being a law student expected a lot of practical and theoretical examples to be presented in front of the students when I first joined in, but the reality was far less than what I expected. The professor is mostly came in read. Whatever the book said and left, gave us few assignments and group projects to be completed without any particular information from their side. We had to sit and do research on our own without any input, and then we'll go summit down the assignments or projects or whatever task was appointed to us, and then we'll have a viva through our work and that's pretty much it . The new professors who joined in by our third year, were very practical, made us understand a lot of things which the previous professor didn't. They answered a questions. They were more relevant to us because they could understand that some topics were forced on us and supposed to be taught, maybe twice or thrice just to make us more comfortable or just to make us more smarter in that area by understanding it in depth . law is one of the most interesting and difficult courses out there, but then if you have the right professor is leading you to it, you would learn easily and more efficiently. in my area of study, practical work was not very much included other than participating in mood court. It was all theory based which is not very important in a way because when you finish your course and get into the real world when you go to your corporate world or litigation side, you need practical experience and you need to understand how to do work and not just learn the sections or the theory part so something that they could have improved was rather than giving us assignments or group projects they could have made us understand and giving us real life situations or give given us more practical practice so that it would be easy for us to understand what litigation is and how we are supposed to do it.

Very bad thing is that in this college they are providing the same subjects and same syllabus for UG and PG students there is nothing different. But i have studies ug in other clg so for me it is different so i managed and it is interesting
