Remarks

This college comes into the top 10 colleges in Tamilnadu. This is one of the top Engineering College in Coimbatore. Also, it have a good placement record both in Core as well as IT companies. This made me to attract towards the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum ia good and updated to the current trend. As a textile student, I felt that there needs to be a slight change in the machineries part, because there are few machineries that are currently not in the field. And only few new machineries are provided.

Placement Experience

The placements in our college is very good. Almost, many companies attend our placement drive. And the good thing is there are lot of core companies, so that the probability of students getting placed in a core company is high.

College Events

There are 15 clubs and 3 research forums and also Forge- the startup accelerator. Along with there are 10 sports teams both men and women included. This gives us a good exploration to various parts rather than just academics. Also, there is a techno cultural fest called YUGAM happens every year. For this, around 200 colleges in India participate.

Campus Life

The campus infrastructure is so good. It is a wifi enabled campus except in the auditorium and seminar halls because the attendees should watch the meeting rather than scrolling their social medias. And also, there are 2 in campus canteens along with a Cafe Coffee Day. Then there is a KVB Bank inside our campus. Also there are 7 hostels for boys and 4 hostels for girls.

Hostel Facilities

Yes, I stayed in Hostel and there are 7 hostel blocks for men. Inside the hostel block there are 1 mess, 2 canteens, one tv room and a park where students cam hang out. For a room, four people can stay. Then there are four desks, for each room along with night time light.

Atmosphere and affordability

Placement Experience:

From 6th semester students will be eligible without any backlog. Axis bank, Deloitte, zuilka motors , Maruti Suzuki I got offer letter from 2 companies Axis Bank and zulika motors Axis Bank offered for 240000/- per annum and zulika motors offered 300000/- per annum. Then I tried outside also I got even better package 420000/- per annum at Avias india manufacturer of stainless Steel and kitchenware. So I went with Better package I went for 5 months then I resigned the job for the higher studies

Life At KCT

Placement Experience:

There are companies but the companies that were told that the good ones, they didn't come so much.. only a few companies that gave a package above 5 lakhs came in for my department.. the rest of them were either 4 lakh package or below it was not very good. even the 1 or 2 good companies that came tehy came for electrical.

The curriculum of each course is different and it is followed by the guidance of Anna university, we have several topics and it is under the regulation of 2021 respectively, I feel this easier to learn and there comes an opportunity to do what we learn in theory hour in our laboratory hour it will make more connected to our course, but there is lagging factor that is we are far away from the modern world and we need to put effort to compete with. The exams are not difficult and the frequency of the exam is quite manageable.

Students are eligible from 3rd year for placements and also who don't have standing arrears ,if they have standing arrears the clg management will remove them from placements and also the Placements are very poor . The average package is 350000/year . And the maximum package is 15L Last year nearly 100 students out of 180 in cse dept are non-placed , they are forced to write higher studies letter and submit in college . Even though they won't help for any placement side.

Kumaraguru - A wonderful journey

I applied councelling in which i was offered a several college based on my marks. First i opted CIT coimbatore following psg coimbatore and third option as Kumaraguru College Technology coimbatore. A green campus with welcoming nature for all students.

I chose this college because the first reason is it was near to my home. The travel distance was less. And the placements offered by this college was awesome.
