College review

The overall view for college is good however the management have some issues which can be sorted out easily.

The walchand college located in sangli, western Maharashtra which is already known as it's foundries located in this areas and other mechanical related factories which are helpful to us to visit them easily. The department of Mechanical engineering is very focused on learning new aspects and with updating syllabus time to time For the better learning programs.

The overall history of placements in our college is pretty good . We have six branches and all this branches do great in placement . There are many companies who offer internships to students who are great at studies with or without stipend .

There are many events held by College students with respective clubs . The annual college gathering is also there with art , cultural and sports criteria. There some technical events also. The vertex a technical event which is one of the biggest event happen in the near by region .

There is certain transparency in fee-breakdown however there some students who are good in studies cannot afford the fee structure . And also at the time college authorities force students to pay the dues or they will not allow students to attend the exam.

I opted for both Scholership and educational loan . The Scholership system is very worst students have to go through a very long procedure during filing the Scholership forms and there are many errors come across during the procedure and it get delay and delay.

The campus is gifted with beutiful greenary and wildlife . There are many types of birds and small creatures in campus who do not harm or disturb the human presence . The gender ratio is different in different branches. There are about 50% percentage of girls in CSE and IT where in Mechanical it is 20 %. The extracurricular activities are quite good .

I was opted for hostel when I was just got admission in college in first year. that time I didn't know about anything the boy's hostel facility is not that good as that girl's hostel. For both boys and girls the hostel fees is same but there is huge difference in hostels. The hostel has worst toilets in the institute.

The alumni network is very good . There are many passout students who try to contact the current students for help and queries . Also College arranges annual alumni program for the interactions.

This is one of the top ranked state government institution . I always wanted to be mechanical graduate so opted for mechanical engineering department. The mechanical branch of this institution is precious than others colleges it has good reputation and history of the mechanical graduates. I had given MH-CET as an entrance exam for this college.

The mechanical engineering department have a good qualified staff along with good assistance and lab faculties also. We nearly have 3-4 lectures , 1 tutorial and 1 practical session in a day. There are many guest lectures also . Sometimes or almost once or twice we go to industrial visits also.
