Remarks

Government engineering college idukki is situated in the scenic beauty of Painavu. The climate is so pleasantly cold. The place is calm and quiet and best suited for studies. If you looking for a college life where you can study as well as explore and enjoy, then this is the place for it.

Course Curriculum Overview

The faculties are so friendly and supportive . They are well qualified. The course curriculum focuses more on theory rather than practicals. There is not much of an industrial exposure. Since the college is situated in a remote area, not many companies come for placement.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 8000 per year

Placement Experience

Most of the companies coming are it based and only a very few core companies visit. So cs and it students has a better chance of getting placed but many other branch students are also getting placed.

College Events

The campus life was amazing even though there were few problems since the college is in a remote location. Arts fest in college is amazing. The tech fest is also amazing but due to the location of the college external participation is less. All the festivals like onam, holi etc and women's day, Valentine's Day are celebrated.

Fees and Financial Aid

Students with low annual income can avail the e grants scholarship offered by Kerala government which pays 15000 per year. There is also central sector scholarship for students with annual income less than 5 lakhs which pays 10000 per year.

Campus Life

The infrastructure is very poor. There is sports facilities, not even a proper ground. The Library does have some academic text books and reference books but does not have any other books. The lab is not up-to the mark.

Hostel Facilities

Women's hostel is nice with good infrastructure and mess. But the men's hostel building is old and not in good condition. The rent is very low and the mess bill is reasonable. A room is shared by 4 inmates. And each floor has common study areas and bathrooms.

Hostel Fee: INR 800 per year

the course , the first year its easy syllabus , its just basics based on what you learned in high school , but in a more advanced way. the only flaw in the curriculm is the lack of application level questions all the exams are just theory based questions
