Top college in India for Commerce. Discipline and faculty is excellent.

Course Curriculum Overview

No, but college hostel rooms are based on a students merit. It is a Christian Catholic college. Hostel is strict as per discipline and rules. Maintaining with hostel compliance is must. Food is given in hostel only. there are washrooms, restrooms, playground etc.

College main rule is discipline. We need to comply with the college rules strictly, There is no gender discrimination. Evening college is for both boys and girls. Every year we have sports day. And there is no ragging in college. We have cafeteria, sports, auditorium, classrooms, library, everything thing great. We have ever year college fest known as Xavotsav, where all the celebrities come and enjoy the college fest. This college is like a dream college.

Admission

Eligibility criteria is to submit 10th- 12th Mark sheet online, then called for an interview. Filled an admission form, got short listed. Did my verification with the documents of 10th, 12th mar sheet, date of birth, Aadhar and pan card. And then selected me for the joining the college.

From semester 5, you become eligible for final placement and semester 3 for internship placement. many companies like Nykaa, Myntra, Duetsche Bank, Morgan Stanley, Deloitte, Zomato, Beerbiceps and more have visited. the highest package in history is 38 lakh per annum. The average is 8-9 lakh per annum. Around 70% of students get the college placement. My plan is to start my own business after college. I am although doing internships through college. Already done one in Beerbiceps and one in chorus call.

Remarks:

The good thing is that the college was not strict and was never forcing us to study rather it was seeing to it that it gave us proper advice and help us reach more towards my career goal. The bad part would be there were may staff which was very dull and was not kind, and no importance was given to correct their behaviour although it was evident by all.

The Vibrant Life at St. Xavier's Mumbai

I applied to IIM Indore, St. Xavier's mumbai, TAPMI Manipal and I had given CET exam to apply for colleges in Mumbai. I did not clear the IPMAT exam as I prepared only for 2 months, so I didn't make it to iim indore. St. Xavier's being one of the top colleges in India was my next choice. I also got into TAPMI Manipal but I chose Xavier's over it as the ROI was better. For admission in Xavier's you've to clear the Xavier's Entrance Test (XET) for BMS, BMM and BSC-IT. Post which you'll get a call if your name is in the merit list. Rest of the process is done in the college itself, where you'll be asked to submit your documents and fill out some forms. Campus life at xaviers

I choose Xavier's because the BMS course it offers is one of the best and is very affordable as well , I was comparing Xavier's with christ,nmis etc. the BMS course offered in their college is extremely expensive and not as reputed as Xavier's and the placements that they offers is not good as Xavier's as well,Xavier's also has a good alumini and good word of mouth than these colleges, as for the admission into courses like BMS ,BMM,BSC-IT there is an entrance test called XAT and we have to clearit, the weightage is 60% score form the entrance test 40% from board exam scores and the final round will be an interview after which it is decided if one is selected for the course or not there is a reservation for Christan quota in the college as it is an Jesuits run college...Read More
