Bidita Roychoudhury's Review On The Neotia University - [TNU], Kolkata

It is probably the only private University that provides bachelor course for Fishery science in India , also if we go outside north east , it is the state which is near to north east. I feel it takes less travelling time as I am from North East

In 1st semester , we had swimming as the additional subject. But there were no proper class taken on that. Also faculty in our department is very very less in compared to what needed which is okay because our department introduced in 2019. Also our course needs lab facilities as a basic thing we don't get that , probably because we are less in number and University Don't feels the need for ICAR recommendation to be given to our department as for 28 students they won't spend money on fields and labs

There are jobs in both private and government sectors. Also one can set up there own business in fishery like setting up various species culture which includes rearing , breeding etc.

Celebration of the yearly festival is very appreciable. Also we witnesses a very good parade from the mariners on Independence day. But a festival like Saraswati puja in a university of west Bengal doesn't appears which is extremely funny

There are various scholarships that we get here. Scholarships on income of the family , merit in studies , achievement in extra curricular activities etc.

Campus infrastructure except 1 building(where class occures) is very poor in condition. Firstly , It's Neotia's college and secondly, it's a private University. So we deserve to get decent infrastructure in this college.

Hostel infrastructure is not good. Windows of the rooms are not at all mantained and we get hospital's bed in the rooms which is very very small. Also we often face the problem of water in the bathrooms and also in the canteen
