Remarks

As a commerce student I always wanted to pursue b.com(Hons) from a Delhi University college.I chose the college considering its development oriented approach for teaching the subject.The teachers focus on creating an interactive in the class to promote our development.The college has a friendly and approachable environment as students from various ethnicities and backgrounds come together to study in one college.I chose this course as I wanted an in-depth knowledge of the field of commerce.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is designed as per the UGC guidelines. Both academic and field knowledge based subjects are distributed amongst the 4 semesters of college. Some additional subjects are also provided which focuses on enhancing the skills of students. Exams are held at the end of every semester for 100 marks : 75 theory and 25 internals. The curriculum is designed to enhance students' personality and increase their knowledge.Subjects are framed in a way which will provide enough industrial exposure to the students.

The college has a very active placement cell which brings lucrative placements for the students.The cell also presents various internship opportunities for the students of all the years. The companies which visit my college are Infosys,Genpact,HCL among others

My college organizes various festivals starting from the Freshers,Diwali Mela,internship fair,national seminars,college fest and farewell to name a few.college. Various competitions ranging from sports festivals,debates, dance competition etc are also held in the college.Different societies are present in the college providing students a chance to enhance their overall personality

Placement Experience:

Campus placements begin in final or fourth year. So from 7th semester students become eligible for on campus placement.From 5th semester or 3rd year students are eligible for on campus internships with very good package. In Nsut all top companies like Google, microsoft ,adobe, amazon, flipkart and many more visit.Around 300 companies visit each year. Highest package in 2024 is 83lpa in cse branch and 18 lpa average.In cse placement percentage is 70%, and in ee it is lower around 40%.

NSUT- A rollercoaster but definitely must have experience.

After internship season gets over, placement season starts with starting from 7th semester. At the start a lot of good product based companies visit and gradually the package offered start decreasing. The placement season lasts for full one year and around 90-95% students get placed. SPMCW is Special!!

I applied at colleges such as LSR and Gargi purely because they were also girls colleges and are above ranked than my college. In DU though a proper merit system works and in that merit my score couldn't get admission in those two colleges.
