Remarks

The college is a sikh minority college. Being a sikh it was my first choice due to both its reputation and the contribution the college is making to uplift the sikh community. Also the college is in North Campus which also gives it an advangtage as most of the DU students prefer a North campus college.

Course Curriculum Overview

Being a DU college, it follows the curriculum of the university. Syllabus of chemistry is well updated and meets the international standards. Faculties are more like friends and are ready to clear even your weirdest doubts. You can even go them for taking an advice and they will be ever ready to guide you.

Placement Experience

4

Placements are excellent especially for BCA/MCA students. Most of the students pursuing chemistry go fo their postgraduation after graduation (so will i) so they donot actively participate in placements. Placement cell literaly works day and night during placement seasons so hats off to them. You will definitely get a job if you pass out from this college.

College Events

5

You will find an amazing crowd here. Cheerful students all over the campus. Students with all kinds of talent. Theatre society of Khalsa is famous in the entire DU circle. Earlier the fest used to be boring here but now they have increased the level too high. We had KARAN AUJLA performing here in this year's fest. If you are a punjabi music fan then you definitely know the craze everyone has for this guy. Who knows we can even have SIDHU MOOSEWALA performing here next year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Thw college on its own doesnot give any kind of scholarships.Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee offers some kind of scholarships to students (sikh). You can visit their office at gurudwara Rakabganj sahib. The management there is very kind and will guide you. You can also apply for scholarships given by Delhi government.

Campus Life

We have everything a good college needs. We have sports grounds for cricket, football, hockey, kabaddi. We have facilities for indoor gaming. We have a big gymnasium. No wifi. Library is too big and is filled with books from around the.globe. but but you need to maintain silence in the library or will be straightaway thrown out.(i have been thrown out 5 times till now XD).Labs are all well equipped.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was always interested course. It's relevant to the exams in that particular field. The syllabus for life and other exams in this field. I think that there is a lack of actual real life practice in basic courses. If could be made more aligned to what we do in real life it would have been better. The exams are easy enough to pass by just studying one month before exams and submitting the internal assessments properly. There are end semester exams which gives enough time to prepare well.

Area that should be improved that is treat every student similarly without any discrimination. Faculty don't even tdke action on sol, IGNOU and NCWEB students. So I think it should be improved firstly.

Final year students(5th semester) are eligible for the placements, many famous company recruits, like Deloitte, flipkart, amazon and there's many local companies as well. The highest pakage in 2024 was 24LPA. 20-30% students gets the placement as most of the students opt for Higher studies or get into competitive exams. The jobs offered are based on your course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is relevant and comprehensive, with practical modules and industry-focused content that influenced my choice. It effectively bridges academic knowledge with real-world applications. However, adding more case studies and interdisciplinary approaches could enhance learning. Exams are well-timed but could better assess critical thinking. Teaching methods would benefit from integrating more interactive and hands-on sessions.
