Remarks

Great institution, Great Culture with Great minds together.Well rounded development of the students to help grow in their life.

Entrance Preview

Being an undergraduate degree, it did not require any competitive exam but class 12 marks are considered for admission in Delhi University and the college. I had scored 92.75%. SRCC is the best college for commerce in the country, great faculty and best students all across the country come to study here. Hence I chose this college for my undergraduate studies.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Being part of Delhi University, the course curriculum was very well structured. The course has a nice blend of accounts, law, economics, commerce, taxation etc which provided an all round understanding of corporate finance and law. Though there was no focus on research, but the vast expanse of subject matter to be studied provided a very well balanced learning.

Internships Opportunities

Being an undergraduate college, there was no provision of internship. Though if any student wanted some help the college would have definitely looked into it to help the student get valuable experience.

Placement Experience

5

The placements scenario was great considering the course. We had one of the best college placements for commerce students in the country. Some of the companies coming to campus were McKc, PWC, KPMG, HUL etc to take graduates. The package ranged around INR 3 lakhs per annum which was considered very good.

College Events

5

We had an annual festival which was also the only evening / night festival in the university. The festival was a 4 day event with various events happening through out the day and the evening / night ended with a gala event be it a musical night or jam session. It was like a big gala festival being celebrated in the university.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure was very nominal with just close to INR 10-11 thousand for the 3 years course. This does not include the books, reading material and accommodation. Being part of the Delhi University, the fee was highly subsidized and was affordable to everyone who wished to study in the prestigious colleges of Delhi University.

Fees and Financial Aid

There was no scholarship / loan facility offered by the college. The fee was already highly subsidized and hence the requirement of loan was not there.

Campus Life

5

The total strength of the batch was close to 350 students with good gender ratio and diversity. The campus life was very exciting with lot of extracurricular activities and sports. The college had some 7-8 societies which provided ample opportunity to the students to learn how to work together in a group, get sponsorship, organize events etc.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel facilities were great. The rooms were neat and clean with adequate security in place. The mess food was though not of very good standard but we had seen great improvement in the same. The average yearly stay was close to 10-12 thousand per year with food costing around 1.5 thousand per month (all meals). The stay and food was also subsidized.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is just awesome, with most of the alumni at very senior positions in great companies or running their own businesses. The alumni are always available to help the young students take career decisions.

Exam Structure

We had yearly exam with internals every year. Every professor can have his or her exams if they want but that was never part of the overall assessment of the students. We did not have the concept of surprise quizes or group work like MBA colleges but the final exam was very elaborate and exhaustive

Faculty

4.5

The faculty of the college are some of the best minds. Highly qualified, knowledgeable, experienced. Some of the faculty members were authors of the books widely studied by students across the university. The faculty used case studied and live examples to explain some of the concepts which made learning even more interesting and easy.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculam is well-structured and covers all the core subject relevant to the field . It help in building strong theroritcial knowledge but lacks enough real-world case studies and industry exposure . Exam are conducted regularly and are of moderate difficulty . Adding more project-based or skill oriented components would make the course more practical and beneficial for placements or higher studies .

When students enter 3rd year of their college , they are eligible to sit for placements but should have minimum 8 CGPA .A lot of companiess visit campus , details of companies are on the website of college. The highest placement till now is 20 Lakhs per Annum and average goes around 6-7 Lakhs per Annum. A decent percentage of students get placed. Honestly most students here are pursuing professional courses so they don't sit for placements instead continue with their courses .
