Daiyaan Nasir's Review On Nitte Meenakshi Institute Of Technology - [NMIT] (Deemed To Be University), Bangalore

The college campus is good and the placements are pretty decent but more importantly the teachers are experienced and clear any doubts of the students. The campus is clean. The college thrives in sports as well basketball, throwball and football being the more popular sports. The college has transportation which covers almost every area in Bangalore. The college has an autonomous curriculum which is much easier for the students. I was always interested in me, gadgets etc so EC and CS were my main options for pg degree, although I was unable to get CS I was happy with EC

The college is autonomous which is affiliated to Vtu, so our syllabus is the same to vtu colleges. The syllabus was slightly updated to say the least. Chemistry and physics were very interesting especially the lasers and lattice crystals. The mechanical had the machine tools such as lethe, and turbines demonstration were done. Overall the faculty were good, our lecturers from physics department were one of the best teachers I've ever had.

I'm still in first year right now so I don't know much about the placements and job interviews but from what I've heard and seen reviews it's very good. Big companies such as Microsoft, Accenture are regular. The packages for freshers are really good depending on the brach. There is also a consultant who prepares you for the job interview as well. On the whole the placement department is very good.

Technical and cultural fests happen almost for the whole academic year, there are so many of them so there is something for everyone. For the geeks we have hackathon and other various events. But the biggest cultural event of then all is anaadyanta that takes place in early March. The fest goes on for three days and has almost every from gaming competitions to fashion show. On the whole it is a great experience.
