Remarks

First of all this college is near my home and the education in this college is good. And its better to study from home if you get a good college. The campus is good, teachers are friendly. Afterall you are getting your degree with low package and high education.

Course Curriculum Overview

The updated syllabus is good but i have not found any reason to study biology, evs, chemistry in cse dept. Otherwise the faculties are too good, they are like friends. I like the class of Anindo Baksi Sir. I love to do his class.

Course Fees: INR 220000 per year

Placement Experience

To be honest I dont know about the placements as i am new. But the seniors have placed in good companies. The college is trying to get better placement companies and we are hoping so. The previous year students got good placement. If you study well you dont need to look upto placements you will get good companies automatically.

College Events

There are so many events in this college and those are too much fun. You will love it. Like fests, pujas, teachers day, anniversary and many things. You can participate in any program you want. I have not seen any seminars btw.

Campus Life

As its a govt aided college the infrastructure is not so good as private colleges out there, but its fine enough. You dont need good infrastructure if you get good education. The library is good and labs are also good. But there is no sports activities.

I heard it from seniors that before lockdown it was pretty decent but after lockdown the company visits are not that much comapred to before lockdown.Cognizent, Accenture, Mindtree, PQ360 which is a startup company of our senior alumni etc. visits.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placement in cse, it ,ece and sometimes elec branches. The others dpt also offers a quite unique variety of placements from different companies. Nearly 60 percent of the students have been placed in this year and others are still on board for a positive response.
