Remarks

The college is one of the oldest in Kerala. Hence it has a heritage reputation. To be honest, when I applied I didn't know much about the college or the place. But the location has a pretty good ambience and climatic conditions as it is a starting point for high ranges.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course syllabus does include the basics but does not provide much industrial exposure. Therefore after placement we have to undergo training for certain period of time for working. The faculty in the college too are in need of getting up to date with current technology of our field. Some of them are highly experienced but restricted to 'outdated' topics.

Placement Experience

There are numerous companies, most of them are IT based companies. The placement process includes an aptitude test/preliminary test, then a Technical test/interview and finally a HR interview. These steps may vary according to companies. There are various good start-ups from our Alumini and KeyValue and Keito are few of the motable ones.

College Events

The spirit of students for the Technical Fest, Cultural Fests and special occasions like Onam keeps the campus life alive. As years pass by, the scale of technical fests has increased and students has worked together to make it successful. The cooperation of management and faculties is very much limited. This rasies issues for spending time on setting up things for these fests.

Campus Life

The college is equiped with many number of labs and has wifi throughout the campus, and yes the library is efficiently big. But there is a seperate section and special access for the reserved students in the library.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel infrastructure is old excpet for a new building which accomadates the second year students even though it's still under construction. The rrst of the buildings are old though it's still "functional". The mess food is great. And it is not costly for it. Maybe it's because it's not yet under the control of the Management.

Placement Experience:

Placement oppertunities are often given during 4th year of our course. Average package is around 3Lakhs per year. Students getting placements are often high but most of the reject the offer for higher studies inorder to get a higher package.

College Feels Like Home

Placement Experience:

The placement department in our college is great and is always trying to bring good companies to the college. The placement training starts from semester 7. Our top recruiter include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, NocoBD, Delloite, etc. and our mechanical, civil, EEE,ECE all got placements with avg of 4lpa.The highest package where 12 Lpa for SAP. My plans is to get a good job and lead a stable life.

Students in 7th and 8th semester are eligible to sit for campus placements. Companies like Oracle, Goldman Sachs, L&T, Bajaj, Caterpillar and PSU's like BEL,HPCL and BPCL come to the college usually the coding companies offer aroung 35-40 LPA CTC and the core PSU companies offer around 17-18 LPA. Highest Package is 51 LPA and an Average Package of 12 LPA. Nearly 85% students from Circuit and CS branch get placed and around 60% in core branches who sit for placements, My plans after getting the degree is to join MBA to learn how business world works and how the money flows

My honest review of ICET

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for attending campus placement from semester 7. Some companies that visits ICET are Utc global, Layland, DeltaX, etc. The average package given by the companies are 3 lpa. The percentage of students getting placed are around 40%. I plan to placed at any company.

Navigating MACE: A student's journer Through Campus Life, Academics and Oppurtunities.

I chose this college over other colleges primarily for its autonomous status. This allows MACE to have more current and industry relevent curiculum unlike colleges with fixed university syllabus. Admission to MACE was based on keam rank. Although I had a good rank, it wasnt high enough to get my preferred branch in NIT calicut or CET.
