Remarks

The availability of technical equipment for a better practical experience. The college is also at a prime location for media related activities. It offers a degree which isnÕt offered anywhere else in the country.

Course Curriculum Overview

The faculty is good, curriculum encompasses all the strata of media studies and is quite interesting. The academics are good as well, could definitely be more scoring though. The electives are interesting.

Placement Experience

TheyÕre decent, we have a placement cell in college which helps most of the departments in securing placements. Every year there are organisations in campus to recruit students. You just need to get yourself registered.

College Events

There are myriads of societies, Indian and western dance societies, indian and western music societies, debating society, enactus, editorial society, quiz club, photography club, etc. thereÕs also a women development cell. We hold a college fest called Shruti and departments also have their own feats.

Campus Life

ItÕs one of the best campuses in the University of Delhi. We have a swimming pool on campus, thereÕs rock climbing, indoor badminton court, a dance hall, shooting range, basket ball court, a ground, etc.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel is good, the rooms are spacious, the food is edible. ItÕs cleaned regularly and thereÕs options of air conditioned as well as centrally air conditioned rooms. The average rent is about 80k per semester.

A good in-budget college

Placement Experience:

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum are good but need some improvement.there is 3 subject in 1st year and 3 subject in 2nd year and only 2 subject in 3rd year and 11 subject in last 4th year so last year very tough.we need some more subject in 3rd year even 1st and 2nd year so we got some less headache in final year.

Generally, after BA no one is placed and even if we apply for a job we don't get a good package. So, students generally go for masters or some other courses through which they can get placements. Talking of college placement and internship cell we don't have very good facilities as very limited companies are there for recruiting students. Many students don't even get the internship. This is a major negative point of college.

Overall college experience at IPCW

I applied through cuet only. Indraprastha College was my second preference after lady shree ram college. The department is one of the bests on Delhi university and I m quite content with the faculty here (except a few teachers). I chose this College because i searched through various websites and specially the psychology department of this college was rated good, so that's why. a good experience

The admission process for this and any other DU college is fairly simple which is to sit for the CUET examination which is an objective based paper and also to make a decent preference list to get into the desired college and course. My decision to choose Indraprastha college for women was because it provided my desired course and my marks aligned with it. I also applied to other DU colleges but am satisfied with my current position as it provides a well-structured academic base and gathers a much more decent crowd than any other DU college.
